This deck might be playable in Modern if my Crystalline Slivers were actually legal.. REPRINT!!! Diffusion Sliver is Crystalline's Modern substitute, & his ability is key, since spot removal is a huge threat to any sliver deck.. and his ability stacks, which is soooo nice. Pulmonic Sliver is expensive at 5CMC, but his ability is also extremely relevant when combating removal issues. Venom Sliver + Quilled Sliver give very easy creature removal, & Striking Sliver or Bonescythe are obviously great with deathtouch as well. Bonescythe Sliver and Megantic Sliver both help push some damage through, especially with Galerider Sliver & Belligerent Sliver playing evasion games. Manaweft Slivers / Gemhide Sliver give the deck the ability to cast high CMC creatures, and of course do their fair share of the mana-fixing, along with 4x Sliver Hive & 4 Ancient Ziggurat. If a couple Diffusion Slivers don't get down early, though, this deck is still easy to beat with decent removal spells, and boardwipes are pretty devastating, though Pulmonic Sliver can occasionally help reclaim a relevant board presence. Syphon Sliver can get pretty crazy midgame if there are a decent number of Slivers already in play, and has won me a few games by himself. Sentinel Sliver + Manaweft Sliver/Gemhide Sliver lets the slivers attack and then still tap for casting during 2nd Main. Wish I could afford to buy 4x Aether Vial & 4x Cavern of Souls, but it's not gonna happen. Still, it is a fun deck!
