Resource denial deck.
The idea is to build a low casting cost (ideally up to 2cc) deck to attack your opponent resources, deploy a threat and keep that one relevant to finish the game.
For that, it's required strong effects with low casting cost. Such cards tend to have symmetrical effects to keep it even.
The main cards chosen were Crack the Earth and Smallpox, which lead the deck to have a sort of (self) destructive nature. So the deck must be able to operate with one to two lands. It's a work in progress.
Since this deck remove resources from both sides of the table quite fast, the game might enter in top deck mode quite often, so I try to keep away from cards that will probably be a bad topdeck.
This approach was made initially aiming against big mana decks like Tron and still have a good match up against faster decks like Infect.
Still working on the Affinity match up, too many permanents early in the game to control. Anger of the Gods, Flaying Tendrils and Pyroclasm was what I tried so far, but with tokens in this deck, it's not where I rather be.
Young Pyromancer
but it tends to warp the deck around it and for
Crack the Earth
to hit lands more often I needed more permanents instead of more instants and sorceries so pyromancer gets much weaker.
Testing
Ox of Agonas
instead of
Gurmag Angler
for now.
