I just realized that I need to take out Doubling Chant because this is Commander so there are no double creatures!

Myojin of Life's Web or Yeva, Nature's Herald could be your commander

StumpyIB says... #4

I could, however, Myojin of Life's Web would never be played from my hand so no divinity counters...

This is a pretty cool looking deck!

One card you might enjoy adding is Karametra's Acolyte for dat green ramp. Khalni Hydra would really up the devotion too, plus be easier to summon since you already have a bunch of small green mons.

Thanks! I love playing with it.

I considered Khalni Hydra before, but had turned it down since I thought I had enough large creatures. That being said...I failed to notice that Sylvan Primordial was not EDH legal so I might trade him out of my sideboard for the hydra.

Hey thanks for suggesting me to look at this. I totally forgot I had Soul of Harvest and Terra Stomper as well as Plummet. Are those also Standard legal?

StumpyIB says... #9

No problem! This is by far my most favorite deck to play. And yes all three of those are Standard legal.

also, i'd put back in Terastodon mabye over Gladehart Cavalry, the nonecreature removal is essensital for commander. also he's a big body. the cavalry just isn't very relevent in this deck, though you field enough creatures to make the support work the other abilites make it sort of a nothing card.

I added Into the Wilds and Traproot Kami to my sideboard. The first will help me get lands while also helping me draw additional creatures without mana getting in the way. Traproot will add some additional reach to the deck as well as potentially being a huge defender.

Hey, thank you for the comment on my deck.

Are you looking for help with yours? If so what is your budget, and are there any no no's for your group(mass land destruction, combos)? Also can you briefly describe the decks you play against?

Thanks for the upvote!

I am always looking for improvements, but I would rather not spend more than like $5 on any one card if I can help it. Mostly this deck has been about getting big creatures out fast; this is my favorite type of deck too. The decks I usually do the worst against are Black/White control decks that make me sacrifice stuff; I also fight Green/Blue Eldrazi decks which I usually can hold my own against. I've been trying to add more prevention/removal cards, but it is rather hard to find good green cards for that.

Any help would be appreciated!

I actually focused on removal in my deck, but in green you have to go about it a little differently. I use things like Acidic Slime, Reclamation Sage, Steel Hellkite, Terastodon, Krosan Grip, Beast Within

You are creature heavy. I don't like to run so many of those, but Yisan, the Wanderer Bard works great. I actually made another mono green EDH deck on a budget with him. He is really strong, probably better then Omnom.

I also feel you are short a couple of lands, and some ramp. I ramp heavily to get the big things out, and still run 36. Tried lower, but it hurt consistency.

Hit me up if you have any questions about what I said. Good start Omnom was my second EDH deck. I switched him to duel commander because all the stuff I liked for him kept getting banned in regular EDH.

I have used Terastodon before, but I will look into the other suggestions. I hadn't ever seen Yisan before! That could be great either addition or replacement of Omnath. I will look into getting some more lands or ramp into the deck. Most of the time I don't have to much of a mana problem, but it is sometimes only after a mulligan.

I agree about the banned stuff being frustrating. I desperately want to put Sylvan Primordial in this deck but he remains, unfortunately, banned.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Piano Man's Lively Brigade is my Yisan deck. He is really strong, and easy on a budget. I use lots of EtB effects in it, and untap a bunch. It is my attempt at a creature heavy deck. I really wanted to build it, but could not bring myself to pull apart Omnom, so that is another reason I switched him to duel.

You could always just switch cards in, and out for the duel games if you have friends that want to play that way.

I've added in Traproot Kami and Into the Wilds and took out Renowned Weaver and Market Festival. I thought that the two new cards added more value for what they did.

I am also going to put Terastodon back into the deck, but I can't decided what to remove. Any suggestions?

how about a Seedborn Muse so you can stack up green mana with Omnath, Locus of Mana at each oponent upkeep too. getting Omnath, Locus of Mana bigger and getting mana for Mistcutter Hydra and Genesis Hydra too.

StumpyIB says... #23

Muse would certainly be a good addition I think! A bit on the expensive side, but if I can get her, I will certainly add it in.

Thanks for the suggestion!

you should think about that combo too: Overgrowth + Voyaging Satyr and Krosan Restorer

and maybe : Argothian Elder with Wirewood Lodge = infinite mana

FLATSO99 says... #25

if you are looking for ways to prevent sacrificing, cards like Orbs of Warding, Witchbane Orb will help.
