I'm sorry, sir. Your token seems to have died.

I'm going to bury you under useless tokens until Blood Artist, Suture Priest and Blood Seeker are done painting the walls with the blood of your dead. Well, technically speaking they're my dead, since I gave them to you, but let's not fret on the details.

The deck is made up of two kinds of creatures. Token spawners and token abusers. The abusers are Hunted Troll and Hunted Horror. Hunted Troll's tokens are easily taken of, being only 1/1s, but the casting cost is rather more steep than Hunted Horror. Either way, the deck packs enough token hate to deal with any enemy tokens surviving Illness in the Ranks or Virulent Plague.

The abusers are Blood Artist, Blood Seeker and Suture Priest. They all benefit immensely from the large numbers of tokens entering and leaving the battlefield, either keeping me alive or hurting my opponent. Or both.

Reaper of the Wilds is pants on head retarded in this deck. Scry until you find what you want, because everything dies all the time.

Illness in the Ranks and Virulent Plague are the all stars of the deck. They ensure that whatever token enters the battlefield will end up dead. Get either one out as soon as possible. Casting multiples can be a waste, but it's a necesarry evil when casting Hunted Horror.

Mercy Killing is just a card that keeps on giving. It kills an enemy creature (indestructible ones at that) and it dumps a heap of 1/1 tokens on the battlefield, fueling my token abusers on the table. 3 mana might seem steep considering the deck has access to great black kill spells, but the token production offsets it.

Gaze of Granite and Ratchet Bomb are the deck's failsafe against the tokens it creates. Gaze of Granite can be cast without paying X, just to get rid of tokens. Same for Ratchet Bomb. Cast it for 2, then sacrifice it without counters on it. Boom go the tokens.

Sylvan Scrying digs up Forbidden Orchard.

Forbidden Orchard is the deck's most reliable token creator. It's just an all around great card for the deck, really. The effect that is usually a downside is actually an upside.

Replaced Essence Warden with Suture Priest for more life drain instead of life gain. Replaced Hunted Horror with Hunted Phantasm because it greatly increases the number of (weak) tokens the deck produces.
