Delver is an archetype that was born when its namesake card, Delver of Secrets  , was printed in Innistrad. The deck is built to play a low-cost threat, then protect it and disrupt the opponent's plans with counterspells, discard, and removal until the creature wins the game with damage. This Mono U deck features Brineborn Cutthroat, Pteramander, and a Nimble Obstructionist alongside Delver of Secrets   in the creature suite; the rest of it is filled with counters and bounce removal (and a couple Psionic Blast to help close out the game).
