Guys, im sharing with you my aggro deck, featuring a devotion and flying theme.
Every Once in a while we can finish an opponent with the best card in magic:
Storm Crow
To keep it balanced, there is only one copy ;)
The idea of this deck is pretty straight forward: Gnaw at the enemy early with 1/1 flyers and
Curious Obsession
We mainly mulligan for those 2, because Curious is insane card advantage if unanswered. Usually the sac flyers
Mausoleum Wanderer
and
Siren Stormtamer
protect each other pretty well.
After that, an unblockable card:Tempest Dschinn with
Thassa, God of the Sea
and, of course Cryptic Commands finish the game by turn 5.
Currently this deck is pretty streamlined for a fast kill, but is also resilient and we can go grindy with
Sword of Light and Shadow
, which works well with the sac creatures, protecting the big threats. Also keep in mind we have a constant scry effect on thassa. And cryptic. It is still a blue deck after all.
The only thing that nails us pretty hard is
Supreme Verdict
because we dont have heroic or selfless spirit, but it happens often that a thassa and a fav winds remain, which means one tempest dschinn puts you back at 5 Devotion and the enemy in kill range immediately.
All in all a tier 1 modern deck with lots of removal and board wipes or a combo racing us is pretty hard to deal with.
BUT our enemies tend to miscalculate the damage, because they ONLY SEE ISLANDS ^^
They usually misplay at least 1 game.
Also, the face of your opponent getting killed by a buffed unblockable
Storm Crow
is PRICELESS :D
