The strategy of the deck is to keep opponent's permanents off the battlefield with board wipes, exiles and also keep your permanents on the board by counterspelling any sorcery/instant/enchantment threats. Chip slowly away at your opponent with Creeping Tar Pit once the opponent has burned themselves out, hopefully by this time you also have a Teferi emblem and can clear remaining permanents. The only permanents of yours under threat are your Nihil Spellbomb's which can go off at instant speed so if it's targeted you can activate it's ability before it's cleared. The remaining permanents are a few Snapcaster Mages with the dual benefit of more blockers and the return of cards from the graveyard.
