Panharmonicon
MegaMatt13, 8 years ago
Couple more changes:
Ghostly Prison - - - >Panharmonicon: Ghostly Prison is great but didn't seem to be working with my plan. Watching Panharmonicon in action in my playgroup has shown me just how powerful it can be. In this deck it can help me with my etb removal or life gain triggers
Corpse Dance - - - >Obzedat's Aid: corpse dance's requirement that you can only reanimate the top creature was often quite tricky to navigate. Obzedat's Aid has the flexibility of bringing back any permanent. Aetherflux reservoir, Debtor's Knell, Mimic Vat, Sanguine Bond, and now Panharmonicon are examples of key permanents I would want to bring back.

UNDEFEATED AT FNM!!! W00T

Gonti's Nonsensical Deck Heist won a local event!!!!! * *Note: There was only one other player, and I won with 3-2 of 5 matches. Was not easy, even playing against a very rogue Burn build. I have 1% faith this would ever beat a true tier 1 or tier 2 deck with actual prizes on the line.
Bant Spellwild Umbra
the-mantra, 8 years ago
Trying to pull a voltron build on Spellwild Ouphe. I usually play commander so I may be overcompensating for modern's faster pace. so far it gets utterly dumpstered by Death's Shadow Jund but honestly what doesn't. I'm using totem armor as protection from stuff but keeping Ouphe on the battlefield long enough to attach him proves to be a challenge

Major Updates.....
TheGamerTrainer, 8 years ago
I updated alot of the cards here because they don't "feel" right. They don't have that zombie feeling- or that madness feeling. I have heavily playtested this and I think I know where the problem goes when going mono blue zombie tribal...
- 75% OF ALL MONO BLUE ZOMBIES ARE TERRIBLE.....- with the exception of the Stitchwing, the advanced stitchwing and Geralf's Masterpiece which are surprisingly excellent.
- The heart of this deck- quite possibly the heart of all mono blue zombie decks should resolve around the Stitchwing creatures and Geralf's Masterpiece because they support madness quite well. And since Geralf makes big zombies and focuses on quality rather than quantity- like his sister, his deck should mirror him very much.

Ready to Die [Remastered]
Gattison, 8 years ago
Massive overhaul. Basically chucked everything except for Soulcage Fiend, Mortis Dogs and Altar's Reap.
I replaced it all with a new mono- sacrifice-themed deck I was working on, but needed a top end for.
Once I realized my Necromancer's Magemark tricks were a nonbo with my late-game creatures, I removed all the enchantments and went extra creature-heavy, in support of a true "suicide black" theme. (I should have realized that much sooner, but whatevs. Don't judge me.)

Updated this to be more aggro
NEEDZ MOAR THRULLS!!!!1!!!!1!!
Gattison, 8 years ago
Pretty big change--again--to the deck.
Took a large portion of notorious-b-ready-to-die and ported it over here. Made a nonbo into a synergy by taking out my instants and sorceries and adding Necromancer's Magemark, Ethereal Armor and most importantly THRULL RETAINER! As well as some other enchantments to support the whole concept.
I also took out those big, dumb, top-end guys I was using (Prowling Pangolin for example) and added exalted stuff with a lower CMC.
One day I'll be happy with this deck. One day....

only 95% Jace
PizzaCat_, 8 years ago
Had to add in these cards to get the deck up to 100 unfortunately. Hopefully Ahmonket will see some more cards I can add to make this purely 100% Jace. Laboratory Maniac Cyclonic Rift Sapphire Medallion Cryptic Command Gilded Drake
bekeleven, 8 years ago
OUT: Bladewing's Thrall. This deck is too aggressive to care that much about chumping, and has no sacrifice outlets. IN: Taurean Mauler. Another 3drop dragon! And a good one, too!
Quick Addition
Shakespeare314, 8 years ago
Remove: Fellwar Stone -- It's just too slow compared to my creature ramp.
Add: Concordant Crossroads -- It's redundancy on the combo turn.

bekeleven, 8 years ago
OUT: Forest and Snake Basket. This deck's curve is high enough that it will generally find some card draw before it goes hellbent, so mana sinks aren't super high value. IN: Command tower, Tribute to the Wild.
bekeleven, 8 years ago
OUT: Rites of Flourishing (medium to bad in testing), Aspect of mongoose (the deck doesn't need to keep nemata out *that* much and already has tools to do so), Ainok Survivalist (medium), From beyond (Iona isn't prevalent in my meta and I crack it 99% of the time before it makes a single token), Utopia Vow (the worst straight creature removal in the deck), Reincarnation (Good, but kind of fiddly. Small possibility I'll bring it back in the future). IN: Ezuri's Predation, Arachnogenesis, Eternal Witness, Verdant Confluence, Thelonite Hermit, Mycoloth.
Added more removal, and modified description.
WhiteLance, 8 years ago
I've made small changes a few times since I first published this deck. Added more removal to stop annoying cards. Following the suggestions in the comments, I added Lightning Bolt and removed Fireball, and adjusted the descriptions accordingly.
Tuesday Night Modern Results 2-0-1
T12H, 8 years ago
Very small turnout, only 10 players. Round 1 vs Burn 2-1 W The main deck timely won my game one. He topped deck two boros charms in a row game two to kill me when i had a Kor Firewalker out. Game three I had another timely and then a big sphinx's rev to finish him off. Round 2 vs Budget Affinity 2-0 W Supreme verdict and engineered explosives are very good verse affinity that dumps their hands out in the first 2-3 turns. Round 3 vs Bant CoCo 1-1-1 Draw Again went to time verse my buddies Bant Knight deck. If I had 1 more turn I would have won which was the same story last time we played on Tuesday.
bekeleven, 8 years ago
OUT: Ajani's Mantra, Essence Extraction, Student of Ojutair, Bitter Revelation. IN: Ancient Craving, Phyrexian Arena, Wretched Confluence, Deadly Tempest. Adding more powerful and efficient cards. Unfortunately, a small increase in overall CMC.
Saturday Night Modern results 1-2 Drop
T12H, 8 years ago
Was an off night tonight. Sometimes you just can't get good draws and that happens with any deck. Round 1 vs RG Monsters 0-2 lost Lost game one to mana screw and then game two to a ridiculous sideboard that was targeting decks with counters. He 4 summoner's trap and 3 emrakuls. I turn two remanded his creature and he trapped an emrakul and I immediately lost. Round 2 vs Merfolk 0-2 lost Lost game one to another mana screw situation and couldn't find my wraths. and then game two mulliganed to 5 and kept a horrible hand out of frustration and lost very quickly. Round 3 vs ? 2-0 This guy was new to modern and just was playing with the card he had. Won solidly then dropped the last two rounds.

+Mana Vault - Sol Ring
Some adjusts
TheBlacker, 8 years ago
I have removed spatial contortion and 1 mana tithe to make room for 2 blessed alliance and 3 sunlance because they are more mana efficient. For a 2-drop I included knight of the white orchid over lone missionary but I am still dubious about it

More tweaks
Beebles, 8 years ago
I moved out Mimic Vat again, switched it to another deck for Recruiter of the Guard. Also added Blade of Selves and Seedborn Muse, and tinkered with the hate cards a little bit.
