Both parts outlandish and amazing, Skred Red (or mono-red control), should sound like some uncanny brew, but is in fact a fun, competitive deck. The namesake combo of this deck is Skred and Boros Reckoner . Once you have enough Snow-Covered Mountain s, you can Skred your Reckoner to kill your opponent!

As for control, obvious inclusion of staple card Blood Moon locks down all manner of land bases, decks outside of Red, Tron and Man-Lands like Creeping Tar Pit . Lightning Bolt can keep early threats and small combo-pieces under control or to burn out your opponents. Magma Jet serves a similar purpose, but with the added benefit of scrying. When an opponent's board gets to be too much or you need card advantage, blast away the cold with Sweltering Suns. Plus, Stormbreath Dragon is resistant to almost all removal in Modern, like Path to Exile, Abrupt Decay and Fatal Push.
