This deck's being updated to have more interaction (notably removal & protection from board wipes) and more mana ramping.
Out:
- Win mores: Mage Slayer
- Unreliable in strength: Bonehoard, Centaur Vinecrasher
- Unnecessary: Hydra Omnivore, Siege Behemoth (already have trampling), Ludevic, Necro-Alchemist, Gladehart Cavalry. These aren't critical to the game plan or have become redundant with other effects, or are creatures that don't generate their own counters.
In:
- Ramp: Cultivate, Explosive Vegetation, Commander's Sphere (and lands: Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, Temple of the False God)
- Protection: Swan Song, Heroic Intervention
- Thematic strength: Primal Vigor
- Removal: Hull Breach
Direct swaps:
- Acidic Slime --> Conclave Naturalists: a 4/4 is preferable to a 2/2 with deathtouch in this deck because of Fathom Mage, Shaman of the Great Hunt, etc.
- Winds of Qal Sisma --> Cyclonic Rift for a finisher
- Yasova Dragonclaw, Scrounging Bandar --> Tana, the Bloodsower, Mycoloth. It'll be fun to use these cards & go wide sometimes, and the original two weren't super necessary.
- Loxodon Warhammer --> Hammer of Purphoros
