Who you gonna call? :P

So. A very common land strategy in my area involves using lots of lifelands and scrylands, and perhaps Evolving Wilds and the tri-color lands to insure that you always have the right color mana at the right time, taking advantage of the life gain and scries along the way. The downside, of course, is that many of your lands enter the battlefield tapped, slowing you down significantly. On the flip side, we see decks like the Jeskai combo/heroic/aggro, where they only want one or two lands to blow up, and don't mind taking some pain from a Mana Confluence or its two-color cousins to do it.

This deck is designed to punish those strategies.

Desecration Plague and Demolish are a pair of cards that many people overlook for general deck building. However, missing a land drop can be fatal to many decks, and forcing your opponent to do just that is nasty (It's why they cost four mana each). Elvish Mystic, Voyaging Satyr , and Sylvan Caryatid insure that we can play these guys early enough, and Restock lets us do so repeatedly. Between the mana dorks, Courser of Kruphix, Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, and the land busting, we can pull waaay ahead on mana pretty quickly; but what to spend it on? of Kruphix and Anger of the Gods help slow down whatever they do manage to play, and Interpret the Signs keeps our hand filled. And of course we can Restock into more land busters, but only for so long.

Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker and Kiora, the Crashing Wave are the main cards in this deck, and probably the most versatile. They can both provide win conditions (The +1 on Sarkhan or the -5 on Kiora) semi removal (-3 on Sarkhan, +1 on Kiora) or, if truly desperate, card draw (-6 on Sarkhan or -1 on Kiora).

The Downside

This deck is very hit-and-miss. There's a lot that can go wrong: Missing a Demolish/Plague/Restock, or an opponent hitting a mana well, are bad news if you can't draw into something threatening very quickly. Decks with lots of instants and flash can use the mana before you can destroy it, and if they get too many mana dorks out all you can do is pray for an Anger, and too much removal is hard to deal with.

I am quite open to suggestions, playtests, and up votes! Let me know what you think!

Put the Ember Swallowers back in - testing showed that I really kind of need those. I have also aqcuired a new planeswalker - Xenagos, the Reveler will help make mana and creatures. We'll see how it goes.
