The synergies are epic:

Chief of the Edge buffs Bloodsoaked Champion, Goblin Rabblemaster, Akroan Hoplite and Mardu Charm tokens in addition to being able to swing at Sylvan Caryatid.

Mardu Ascendancy + Akroan Hoplite/Goblin Rabblemaster is an absolutely egregious synergy that simply should not be allowed.
