Mardu Dragons Mid-Range After BFZ

Standard RBW (Mardu)

LippyJones

Sideboard

Here is my rendition of the Mardu Dragons mid-range deck post-bfz. I think it has a lot of power in the meta right now, and it uses some of the best creature removal currently in the format.

The land is obviously not ideal, but I have tinkered around with a lot of variations, and looked at every top 8 Mardu deck I could find, and most folks running Mardu have their lands in a similar place.

The objective of this deck is to efficiently remove early creatures, triggering lifelink abilities, and then to quickly kill with a Kolaghan The Storm's Fury or a Sarkhan come mid-game. The lifelink gives me the flexibility to swing all in mid-game, putting the pressure on my opponent.

Obviously the three Kolaghan's is going to rasie some questions. I was running a Dragonlord Kolaghans instead before, and it just wasn't working. My logic behind running three of them now is that if I have her in my hand/board and she's not being dealt with, I'm going to win the game. But if I have her in my hand or on the board and she gets killed, then I want her again. It is risky but I think will turn out for the better more often than not.

I also recently switched from two outpost siege in mainboard to two painful truths. I think the burst of three all at once will be better than the long game slow and steady.

I am debating the Utter Ends, and considering switching out the Outpost Siege's for two more Flamewake Phoenix's.

I would like to hear any feedback you've got. Thanks!
