The aim of the deck is to enchant Sage of Hours with Sunbond and then use the many per-turn lifegain effects to combo off and take infinite turns. Commune with the Gods is there to help find the combo pieces as is Ajani. Ajani can also participate in the combo. Lastly, Gods WIlling, Swan Song, and Rangers Guile are there to protect Sage of Hours from removal.

Sideboard explanation: Last Breath is there to slow down aggro and deal with the (currently) very popular Goblin Rabblemaster. Similarly, the 4th copy of Nyx-Fleece Ram is there against aggro. Negate, Swan Song, and Reviving Melody can be sided in against control. Finally Plummet is there to deal with pesky fliers.
