Win-Con —May 5, 2013

Decided this deck needed a win-con. So with the new card Maze's End in the game I put one in the deck. Only card I was sad to take out to put all the gates and the Gatecreeper Vine in the deck was my Armillary Sphere as I love the hell out of that card. Bye-bye armadillo square. You will be loved.

Consider a sneaky win condition like Door to Nothingness to slip in there. After you've made it to number 2 then you can just remove the last of your competition.

Just having that in my deck would remove all immunity I have to attacks. I already take some big flak from having the legacy weapon in my deck. I like the idea. It's just that it doesn't fit the theme. I was thinking more along the line of Luminarch Ascension sneaky. Where they know I have the enchantment, it can't hurt them immediately or in a turn or two, so they don't bother with it, but 4 turns later I swing with 25 angels.

Hrm... Yes. You need something much more subtle.

Celestial Convergence ? Maybe a very slow gotcha combo?

A late game Psychic Spiral can be brutal. Especially if you've gone through your own deck pretty heavily or had a lot of group hug draw power (Howling Mine , Prosperity , etc.). I'm not sure if that would be enough though.

A Traumatize + Psychic Spiral could do it.

Words of Wind + Howling Mine , Prosperity , etc. can appear to be benign but could turn a late game one on one in your favor. Particularly with Propaganda and so on in play.

Also, consider a Homeward Path . It'll give you protection from your own Karona and allow you to arbitrate squabbles over ownership.

It's too bad the token ownership rules were changed. Because it used to be able to snag you back your knight tokens from Hunted Dragon.

Homeward Path is almost definitely a great change to be made.

I love the idea you had with Psychic Spiral . After having been Tunnel Vision 'd once I feel like I need some anti-mill/win-con in my deck. This seems great in addition to what you were saying.

I'm not sure if I want to shift the focus of the deck to group draw. It would change the deck a lot. On the other hand, nice catch with the Arcane Denial . Can't believe I missed that. It's a really good card!

These decks bug me but for some reason I like it.

Just outta curiosity, why not put in Alliance cards in?

Allies need their own deck to get going. They also get scary really fast. There's an ally deck in my playgroup that plays really similar to a sliver deck where they need constant removal of his creatures or he get really ridiculous really fast.

I meant Join Forces. Things like Minds Aglow and stuff.

Because I play with 3-5 people. If you play the blue one and they tap out (after I've given them a ton of land) everyone draws 10 cards. Thus Minds Aglow has a bad reputation in my group and it will garner hate towards my deck. Right now I've managed to maintain complete neutrality in my meta. Everyone ignores me til the very end. I don't play the white one due to the amount of sac decks in my meta. Also, reasons.

Oooh, oooh! Try Endless Whispers ! Every creature that dies comes back... but they have to Donate to someone!

It always tends to balance out the battlefield since nobody wants to give the guy who's winning any more creatures, and it'd be a great way for people to repay you for all of the assistance you've given them in the game so far!

If you're really going group-huggy, have you considered Braids, Conjurer Adept ? If Child of Alara slows your games down, try the reverse and speed it up!

When I made the deck I considered Braids, Conjurer Adept , but it's just that I'm playing with a couple combo decks and with Braids there is no randomness factor to the card they're putting out there, they just put it out there and with their giant hands that I'm giving them they'll probably have their combo and just set it off and win. It's not really a good situation to be in.

Oh...yeah that doesn't sound great for your meta. In that case, you know what I love? Scrambleverse 'Cause...screw it.
