Hello! This is my first attempt at a pauper deck! I came up with the idea of U/B Blink with Cavern Harpy but the list did not look spicy enough for me, and on top of that I wanted to use my spare Lightning Bolt s in something! So I added red to use Terminate , Lightning Bolt , and some sideboard tech like Red Elemental Blast and Gut Shot . Red is exclusively a spell color because Cavern Harpy only allows blue or black creatures to bounce.

MAIN BOARD

The deck's main goal is to use Cavern Harpy to gain the most out of ETB triggers from the rest of the creatures. I use Ponder , Mulldrifter , Augur of Bolas , and Sea Gate Oracle to draw and filter cards. Archaeomancer and Mnemonic Wall are used to re-use spells that have been cast. Finally AEther Adept is used to control the opponents board or in needed to bounce our own creatures.

To help make our strategy smoother I have counter magic, disruption (mainly in sideboard), and removal. Counterspell and Mana Leak are my main board options. Disruption I put in 2 Wrench Mind because some main board hand disruption can put the first game more in my favor sometimes. I put in a Quicksand because I could and it looks fun. Finally a single Terminate and a play-set of Lightning Bolt s is necessary to make the games run smoothly.

SIDE BOARD

This is probably where I am weakest in all honesty. I've never been great with sideboards but here we go! I put in Annul and Dispel for match-ups against artifact decks and spell heavy decks respectively. Blue Elemental Blast and Red Elemental Blast serve the same purpose but different scenarios. One vs red heavy decks and one vs blue heavy decks. Duress to add to the disruption package against control decks and Nihil Spellbomb because I don't own any Relic of Progenitus and for match-ups against graveyard based decks. Finally Gut Shot when those aggro decks get to be too much.

I'm probably buying this exact list and playing it with my playgroup. I'm gonna brew with this deck idea for a while because I really like it! If I do well I will post the list if not I won't. (For reference its 3/14/19)
