ETERNAL FOG

I'm already sold! +1!

Introduction:

I wanted to create a modern deck that was interesting and consistent and also could win vs Tier1 decks, i don't know if this deck can but i like it. This deck uses the basic idea of Turbo Fog that consists of drawing lots of cards every turn and survive using fog effects with a package of value creatures that add a lot of consistency and resilience.

How to play:

Basically you will make them draw their entire deck until they die!

General plan:

Your main objective is to set the draw engine up, that is the first priority. Use your life points as a resource in the early game, if you take some damage while playing your draw engine cards its fine, the important life point is the last (keep burn in mind burn though ;D). Once you are drawing 3-4 cards a turn you survive using your fogs to prevent damage and keep playing draw engine cards whenever its possible. Just keep doing that until you deck your opponent (10 turns or so).

VS Burn plan:

NEVER play your draw engine vs burn, it's impossible to keep up with a burn deck drawing multiple cards per turn. Game 1 vs burn just ignore the draw engine, you need Spellskite, Dawn Charm and Riot Control to gain life and hold. It's not great to have 10 dead cards in the deck but we also have a lot of good cards vs burn so it's not that bad. Post sideboard just get rid of the draw engine and sideboard Leyline of Sanctity and the rest of the great anti burn cards.

TIP:

If they have Emrakul, the Aeons Torn or Elixir of Immortality in their deck just remember that once you sideboard Elixir of Immortality it's impossible for you to deck yourself and it's just a matter of time that their anti-decking card ends up in the last 10 of their deck :D

Main deck:

Fog effects:

  • Angelsong - It helps you find whatever you need if you don't want the fog.

  • Batwing Brume - We can pay the thanks to Forbidden Orchard and maybe kill our opponent that way.

  • Dawn Charm - Versatility is great, all of the 3 modes are useful and that makes this fog the best.

  • Riot Control - Because sometimes there are more dangerous things than creatures.

  • Angel's Grace - Not the best fog if the opponent has burn spells but this card makes it impossible for us to deck ourselves because we can cast it in response of a trigger of our draw engine and avoid death, and with the Elixir of Immortality we can keep playing forever.

Draw engine:

  • Howling Mine - The best card to start the engine, 2 mana to start drawing.

  • Temple Bell - It costs 3 but you can activate it whenever you want (end of their turn) avoiding giving them the extra cards first.

  • Rites of Flourishing - Also at 3 mana this card is interesting because ir accelerates our mana, but also our opponents.
