Oath, Shadows, Eldrich, C15 Updates —Aug. 4, 2016

Its been a while since I've updated this, here are the new things since BFZ. With Wastes we can actually use Evolving Wilds an Terramorphic Expanse!

Ally Encampment

Command Beacon

Corrupted Crossroads

Crumbling Vestige

Drownyard Temple

Evolving Wilds

Geier Reach Sanitarium

Holdout Settlement

Mirrorpool

Nephalia Academy

Ruins of Oran-Rief

Sea Gate Wreckage

Terramorphic Expanse

Wastes

Commanders!

Kozilek, the Great Distortion

Emrakul, the Promised End

A couple notes,

  • Westvale Abbey  Flip's color identity is Black and cannot be used in a colorless EDH deck

  • Crumbling Vestige or Holdout Settlement can now be used to generate colored mana with the recent rules change, allowing you to pay for colored costs if you somehow need to do that.

I guess this list hasn't been updated as of recent. Here's a list of new ones to add:

You have cards here like Lotus Vale and Ancient Ziggurat, I didn't think you could use a land to make coloured mana if you were using a colourless commander

ChaosZ41: they don't specify a color they make, so you can use them in colorless.

They are usable given the EDH rules: "If mana of a color not in your commander's identity would be added to your mana pool, ad that much colorless mana instead"

And since those lands have no color identity (no mana symbols on the rules text), they are legal in colorless decks.

Now that Wastes are a thing, Terramorphic Expanse and Evolving Wilds can be useful, especially with landfall triggers. You're also missing lands like Rupture Spire, Shimmering Grotto, Transguild Promenade, and Unknown Shores. They were essential before Wastes, but now they can be easily replaced.

Good point about Expanse and Wilds. I'll be adding the new stuff once the set is released.

Rupture spire and Promenade aren't included because there's really no reason to ever include them in a colorless edh deck, there are plenty of better lands that A) dont' come into play tapped and B) don't cost you a mana to play.

Mirrorpool and Kozilek, the Great Distortion from OGW. They're may be more, but I haven't mastered all the cards in the set yet....

What about Crucible of the Spirit Dragon, Opal palace, Command Tower (prob a no but I figured I'd ask.), and Encroaching wastes?

Crucible is on there, palace and tower are a good idea though with the rules change
