Sideboard

Standard Budget Eldrazi Aggro. After playing with this deck for a while now, I have learned that it will either tank and get mana screwed/flooded or run with perfection and win by turn 4, 5, or 6.

FNM 6/10/16: 1-2

This week's performance was uncharacteristic of how it's been performing on Untap.in.

Round 1: Grixis Control - (0-2)

Getting mana screwed in Game 1 combined with my opponent getting a nut draw in Game 2 finished me off quickly.

Round 2: Red-Green Werewolves - (2-0)

My opponent was relatively inexperienced player with an ultra budget deck, so the games weren't too close.

Round 3: White-Black Ally Lifegain - (1-2)

My deck can have a tough time overcoming gained life. In Game 1, I was stuck on 2 lands with a bunch of 3 drops in hand. Game 2 was my best game of the night, as my deck ran flawlessly and I steamrolled my opponent with 4 straight Dust Stalker s. In Game 3, however, I kept a decent 4 land hand but proceeded to draw 7 lands in a row.

Standard Showdown 11-26-16 (First Tournament After Cutting Blue) : 2-1

Round 1: GB Delirium - (2-0)

I previously believed this to be a bad matchup for my deck, but my ease in dealing with Grim Flayers and Sylvan Advocate s made for a quick two game sweep before my opponent could stick some of his bigger threats.

Round 2: RB Aggro - (1-2)

RB Aggro is generally a faster deck than this deck, but it did help my opponent greatly that I got stuck on two lands in game 1 and drew 8 lands in game 3. I did however orchestrate a comeback on a mulligan to 5 against a nutdraw from my opponent in game 2. In other words, this matchup is definitely winnable, and can be done often with ease.

Round 3: Abzan Value Midrange - (2-1)

This deck had a very similar opening creature suite to the GB delirium deck from Round 1, so after losing game 1 to a pair of 7/6 Tireless Trackers, I successfully raced my opponent in games 2 and 3, in which Spatial Contortion proved to be a very crucial removal spell, especially against Thalia, Heretic Cathar (which is very rough against both this deck's creatures and manabase).
