Changed the old Gideon Bant control into a Biovisionary stall deck. I LOVE playing this thing.
Deck breakdown:
Creatures:
Biovisionary
- One of Two win conditions in the deck. Self explanitory.
Wayfaring Temple - Second win condidtion. Populate when it hits a player. Two become four, four become eight...you get the idea
Courser of Kruphix
- Gain life for playing your lands, plus it lets you play them off the top. I am between playing these or sylvan caryatids
Daxos of Meletis
- Really nice attacker being that you can play cards from your opponents deck, its lifegain as long as you dont hit a land, and it cant be blocked by beatsticks.
Progenitor Mimic
- One of the two ways to make tocken copies in the deck. combo this with your
Biovisionary
or your Wayfaring Temple and protect it until you have at least 1/2 copies.
Thassa, God of the Sea - Not active a lot of the time, however, being able to swing unblocked with your Wayfaring Temples can win you games. Not to mention how good the scry every turn is.
Enchantments:
Detention Sphere
- Any deck that plays white/blue and doesn't have this removal should probably just be tossed back into the deckbox to be torn apart another day.
Instants/Sorceries:
Cyclonic Rift - Good bounce control against devotion triggers like Gray Merchant of Asphodel
Fated Infatuation - Second way to make tokens in the deck
Render Silent - Alot of people don't see why I play this instead of Dissolve. Why? Because when you overload a Cyclonic Rift at the end of their turn, and then counter a spell on their turn for the next two turns and they still don't have one card on the field...it gives you a huge advantage. I have had people scoop to that happening.
Simic Charm
- I went with this charm due to the hexproof ability. It allows you to save your creatures from targeted removal which can be a very large problem.
Planeswalkers:
Jace, Architect of Thought
- card draw and minor defense against 1/1 + 2/2 early game attackers
Kiora, the Crashing Wave
- Card draw/land advantage as well as a single targeted fog that goes a long way.
Thoughts and criticism is welcome! Thanks for looking!
