Llanowar Elves : The best first drop in standard to ramp quickly and get access to the cards you want to beat your opponent
Merfolk Branchwalker : Give you extremely good value even if she doesn’t survive the first turn
Jadelight Ranger : Same comment as Merfolk Branchwalker but Jadelight Ranger can sometimes turns Rhonas the Indomitable up
Rhonas the Indomitable : Just monstrous when he is activated, Rhonas the Indomitable is just insane and finally really easy to turn up with his capacity or 4+ power creatures like Lyra Dawnbringer or Bristling Hydra
Walking Ballista : A really versatile card which will deal damage anyway
Lyra Dawnbringer : Your best killer (and also the favourite target of your opponent). But if Lyra Dawnbringer survives, then she will be your opponent’s nightmare. She defeats Glorybringer, Heart of Kiran ... Well she is just the queen of the sky in this format
Shalai, Voice of Plenty : She is basically your lightning rod, protecting your creatures and yourself from any opponent spells
Angel of Sanctions : An angel that benefits Lyra Dawnbringer's capacity and also get you out of troubles when an opponent permanent bothers you

Spells

Blossoming Defense : It is your best friend. Gives hexproof to protect your creatures from opponent spells and boost them (+2/+2) to win some trades or finish your opponent
Cast Out : A great exiling card you can cycle if needed
Ixalan's Binding : Really useful card to avoid any dangerous threat from your opponent

Strategie

The idea of the deck is to ramp with Llanowar Elves, Servant of the Conduit and Merfolk Branchwalker to quickly get your Angels and take advantage of Lyra Dawnbringer’s ability to kill your opponent.

We are also playing some Walking Ballista, Ixalan's Binding and Cast Out to have more interaction with our opponent’s deck and Blossoming Defense to protect our creatures.

Second try at Standard Showdown (1-3) — May 26, 2018

This Showndown showed me the big problem the deck is facing : it is a mix of very different strategies that don't give a good result

First of all going 3C for Teferi, Hero of Dominaria is not a good idea, the all deck tries to be aggressive and playing Teferi, Hero of Dominaria there just slows it down. In fact when Teferi, Hero of Dominaria hits the board or you are losing the game and you can't play another card or youa re winning and he only overkills.

Puting Steel Leaf Champion away for Bristling Hydra was not great at all either. The Hydra only protects itself, is not enough aggressive and finally doesn't do anything on the board exept turning Rhonas the Indomitable on.

During the last Showdown I made :

0-2 against Izzet Burn Wizards

1-2 against Merfolk

2-0 against UW control

0-2 against Mono Black Midrange

So I decided to change the deck and orient it in a more aggressive strategy :

Cards I’ve removed : - 3 Teferi, Hero of Dominaria - 1 Jadelight Ranger - 1 Merfolk Branchwalker - 3 Bristling Hydra - 4 Servant of the Conduit

Cards I’ve added : + 4 Steel Leaf Champion + 2 Angel of Sanctions + 1 Blossoming Defense + 1 Cast Out + 2 Shalai, Voice of Plenty + 2 Adventurous Impulse
