detailed description and primer coming soon

An interesting take on legacy’s death and taxes archetype, this spicy deck hails from a slightly different list that carried Norwegian player Mats Ole Ellingsen to a 5-0 finish. Here is the link to the og: Original Deck Note the bizarre 4 of Sanctuary Cat in the sideboard.

The game plan is relatively straight forward. Lock down your opponent’s lands with a combination of Rishadan Port, Wasteland, and Ghost Quarter (the latter of which acts as a pseudo Strip Mine when Leonin Arbiter is in play) and then beat them down with your army of white weenies. This can be accelerated by using Ranger-Captain of Eos to tutor for Mikeaus, the Lunarch and then Walking Ballista.

I was so impressed by the deck’s performance that I donated to Jeff Hoogland’s stream so that I could watch him play it, and he managed to pull a cheeky 4-1 finish with this list. Watch the deck in action here: Mox & Taxes Gameplay
