4x Mystic Gate - replaces Evolving Winds + Prarie Stream


The idea is to stall until around turn 5 or 6 when you will begin dealing damage with small creatures or Sun Titan. You should be able to exile most threats and allow for small unblocked hits by turn 6. From there you should aim to completely control the board by turn 10. You should always have an excess of cards and options each turn.

Getting Venser and Sun Titan out turns 5 and 6 make for a quick victory... For example: Attack with Sun Titan triggering his ability, then after combat target Sun Titan with Venser for pseudo-vigilance triggering Sun Titan's ability again.

Remember that Journey to Nowhere, Detention Sphere, and Jace can be targeted with Sun Titan's ability. Always use Jace's -1 card draw to get him in the graveyard in hopes that Sun Titan can bring him back.

Any starting hand with 2 lands and at least 1 small creature works.

Weak against: Aggro, Token, Non-creature decks, Shroud.

Strong against: Mid-high CMC creature decks, mid/late game decks.
