First off, I would suggest making sure this is with your playgroup. I know a lot of people think infect is a cheap way to win especially in EDH. You can make a lot of people mad. Just forwarning.

Second, You could either go BUG colors which gives you access to a lot of creatures like Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon and Blighted Agent. Another possibility is to just go black and have Skittles as your commander. Thats my personal suggestion is to go mono-black. If you do a quick search online there's a lot of decks that you can gain ideas from.

I just use Blightsteel Colossus in my Combo Artifact EDH for T4 wins in 1v1 games and Heartless Hidetsugu w/ Grafted Exoskeleton for instant infect kills in Multiplayer

Pokemaster325 that combo would result in a draw since it would deal 10 infect to you as well

Oh I know. I mainly use it in local CEDH tourneys as the prizes go by, technically, how many players you put out of the game.

Yes im that douchey Spike player haha

I have no problem with spiky players in commander, that is so amazing and I would be willing to bet that the people that created the list will be closing that loophole

Kaervek the Merciless/Nekusar, the Mindrazer + Grafted Exoskeleton/Tainted Strike/Glistening Oil/Phyresis

Infect, itself, isn't really a valid strategy by itself, but as a way to speed up direct damage, it works wonders.

You can also use thinks like Pestilence Demon, for a "kill everyone" mentality, similar to Heartless.

Maybe splash some green for proliferate mechanics.

I've also done an infinite combo in BUG using Melira, Sylvok Outcast, Ichor Rats, and Deadeye Navigator. (That also required infinite mana, but there was already a Deadeye on the field.)

Well if you are intending on using Proliferate then is one of the colors you would push most (i.e. Inexorable Tide)

You might play rafiq with infect. This can give you fast green ramp plus awesome blue control to simply one-shot your opponents

My buddy has a pretty good Anafenza, the Foremost infect deck. All the infect creatures in Abzan colors, then play anafenza to help pump them up with counters. It's super low-to-the-ground agro that works pretty well 1v1. It doesn't do so hot in multiplayer though, but you can also run some 'counters matter' themes in there along with beefy guys to play a traditional agro game as well.

You could lower your life below 20 with Heartless either by pingers or what have you. As long as your opponents have 20 or more life and you're at 19 equip him with Grafted Exoskeleton and wipe the table. That way you win lol. But you probably already knew that.

I've seen Glissa, the Traitor and Ezuri, Claw of Progress decks floating around. Of course there's Skittles too. Be prepared, most infect critters are little weenies and everyone WILL target you first.

The main problem I've seen with infect decks is there is a low number of infect cards that project a serious threat. It will probably need to be two colors at least if you aren't running Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon as the commander, just due to needing a minimum number of cards with your featured mechanic. It will probably be green at least, if it isn't Skittles.

I've seen Rafiq of the Many and The Mimeoplasm decks include some infect cards as a possible win condition, but they weren't focused on it; it was just another way to abuse their other strong abilities.

Players running Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon as the commander tend to get taken out early.

Pray Maro completely goes against his stated views and prints more infect cards.

I love Infect. I mean I understand that Infect is "no fun" but in my eyes its just like Mill strategies. Nobody likes milling 7 off of a Mind Sculpt but nonetheless the cards were meant to be played. If we see a Return to New Phyrexia then I have absolutely no doubt we will see Infect again, be it restricted power levels on the cards or not Infect shall dominate the formats once more

LONG LIVE NEW PHYREXIA!

If you want another deck where infect or commander damage is your primary win con, Varolz, the Scar-Striped is my commander of choice. Been playing him for 2 years, he's very underrated, very fast, and puts on a lot of pressure very early. It's fast enough where people have to play differently and make them really think about their decisions every turn

It was meant to race board wipes, greedy plays, ramp, and control (probably the one that gives the most trouble). Loses to Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite and Cyclonic Rift if they get it off.

The way I built him in

is an combo infect, supported by elves and formed around Ad Nauseam and Tainted Pact. You don't have to build it this way though, you can play a dredge version of it which is a slower, but is equally as powerful.

I've had great success with an Esper combo deck that powers out Blightsteel Colossus

Pretty sure the way Nekusar, the Mindrazer wins a lot of its games is by being enchanted with Phyresis, Glistening Oil, etc., and then casting Wheel of Fate and friends to make people draw 7-14 cards in one turn.

A lot of Voltron Commanders swing in for 10 power + Grafted Exoskeleton if they can. Rafiq does this extremely easily, for example.

Blightsteel Colossus sees a fair amount of play in decks that can produce lots of mana or subvert the costs of artifact creatures.

Infect as a strategy isn't something your deck should be focused on if you actually want to build something decent. There's no real work that needs to be put into it: You run cards that are good with your commander or various creatures with double strike, swing in with evasion, and if that kills someone, great. It does not seem likely that you can play turn 1 Glistener Elves in Commander and try to cast Invigorate and the like, then still win in a multiplayer setting. Hell, Rafiq himself tends to not be very effective in a multiplayer setting since he, himself, can only kill one player at a time.

If you just want to win via Infect damage, though, Nekusar, the Mindrazer and Rafiq of the Many are two Commanders I can recommend. You can run tutors to fetch Grafted Exoskeleton every game if that's really what you want to do.

One of the scariest Infect decks I have ever seen was a Marchesa, the Black Rose deck. Infect dudes that don't stay dead is REALLY annoying. Plus she makes them bigger just by attacking which is what you want to be doing anyways.

That... is actually really solid... I kinda wanna make a creature-control Marchesa deck with an infect sub-theme now... sneaks away to manabasecreafter
