The game store I attend has a point system for Commander. You get a point whenever you achieve a specific goal. Here are the ways you can get points:

Kill another player (+1 point for each player killed). Be the first one eliminated from the table. Deal the first combat damage of the game. Deal the first noncombat damage of the game. Lose 30 or more life in a single turn. Deal exactly enough damage to a player to kill them. Control 20 or more creatures during your end step. Control 20 or more lands during your end step . Control 5 or more permanents with sequential mana costs during your end step. Control 5(?) permanants of the same color during your end step. (I'm not sure if it's 5 or 10) Remove an indestructible creature from the battlefield. Counter a noncreature spell an opponent payed 7 or more mana for. Be eliminated from the game after having 100 or more life. Don't draw extra cards or tutor. Save another player from dying.

These points listed above give you 1 point. However, you can also lose points by doing the following:

Kill a player using an infinite combo. Take a turn that lasts longer than 10 minutes. Remove all lands from a player's battlefield. Take 3 or more turns in a row.(There is one more that I'm forgetting).

The above all make you lose 2 points.

Now to my goal. I'm trying to make a deck that earns as many points as possible while losing as few points as possible. I've been told that Jund is a good color combination, due to the fact that it can get over 20 creatures, over 20 lands (Boundless Realms), deal first noncombat damage (it has red), deal the first combat damage, and a whole slew of other things. However, the one thing I don't like about it is that it's pretty narrow-minded. Attack until they're dead. I'm open to suggestions of deck ideas, and the colors don't have to be in Jund either.

Gahiji, Honored One use small creatures (combat damage), burn spells (non-combat), token generators "saprolings preferred" (20 creatures and easily same color), ramp and Life and Limb (20 land), white gives you exile against indestructible creatures, small creatures should allow you to get exactly 0 life. Rith, the Awakener could also be good

What's the point of the.. points?

Do you win booster packs or something?

Yes Raging_Squiggle. I probably should have mentioned that. The top half of the point scorers get extra packs.

Some 1-drop haste creatures like Raging Goblin, Kolaghan Stormsinger, Legion Loyalist, Lightning Berserker, Monastery Swiftspear, Skitter of Lizards, Uktabi Drake, & Village Messenger  Flip - these will help you deal 1st combat damage. Something like Zhur-Taa Druid or Impact Tremors can help with first non-combat damage....

A non-combo Prossh, Skyraider of Kher deck sounds the go. Just run a few effects like Lightning Bolt and some aggressive goblins and put in a Necropotence + Reliquary Tower and you should be able to get most of those achievements.

Cool. I know of a silly (infinite) combo, that is not always game-winning, but does generate a huge board state. Prossh, Skyraider of Kher, paired with Food Chain. Cast Prossh, get 6 tokens. Exile Prossh and a token to cast him again. Rinse and repeat. As long as you can prove that the infinte combo did not win the game, you do not lose points. My original deck idea was to build Prossh, Skyraider of Kher or Kresh the Bloodbraided, and I do like the idea of a non-combo Prossh deck. However, Rith, the Awakener seems pretty strong as well as being underplayed in my meta. If I choose Rith, tokens (saprolings) will definetly be the main theme. Thank you all for your suggestions, and I hope to get more great suggestions from all of you!

A Bant deck is another option. A flicker or bounce theme with Roon of the Hidden Realm can rack up card advantage without requiring you to draw additional cards. G/W is great for token generation to rack up your permanent count and give you a bunch of creatures to attack with. Non-combat damage can be dealt with cards like Psionic Blast, blue poke creatures like Prodigal Sorcerer, Cloudthresher, Canopy Surge, and maybe even some damage redirection spells depending on how they are worded. Blue lets you counter spells and bounce indestructible creatures. Swords to Plowshares lets you exile indestructible creatures. White and green can help you gain life. Spike Weaver is great when you can reset it with Roon and it can let you save an opponent if you have a way to flash it in as a surprise. You can also use cards like Deathless Angel to give an opponent's creature indestructible and then bounce that creature with Roon for a point (assuming I'm reading the wording for the achievement correctly).

SaberTech, I believe that the removed indestructible creature have to be permanantly removed-I'll check when I go to Commander tomorrow.

I wouldn't recommend building the deck to try and get every point. Focus on a particular subset and go with that. Otherwise you'll end up with a deck that lacks coherency.

And if you end up running red, don't forget to add a Purphoros, God of the Forge. He's going to suit the kind of deck you'll play.

If you really want to get the point for not drawing any extra cards or tutoring I suggest using red for 'impulse draw'. Cards with Abbot of Keral Keep type effects can help, Grenzo, Havoc Raiser is great with tokens and Commune with Lava can be a nice finisher

enpc-definetly not forgetting him

ArchangelAlchemist, I never thought about that-i guess I didn't realize that that was "impulase draw" and didn't affect the points I recieve. Thanks!

Drakon562: you can also use Necropotence like effects. Notice that the text doesn't say "draw a card". Same goes for cards like Dark Confidant.

As for removing indestructible creatures, cards like Silence the Believers will help you out there. I would also look into running Yisan, the Wanderer Bard. That helps there too.

Personally, I'm not a fan of having rules around infinite combo. I think it's a completely viable strategy and people need to get less upset over lossing to it / need to build decks to better counteract it. Still, with Food Chain + Prossh, Skyraider of Kher + Purphoros, God of the Forge you do have an infintie combo. Though you don't need to use it to kill people. honestly, just make abunch of tokens, and then use something like Battle Hymn to pump them via Purphoros.
