Golgari {BG} Legacy Cheat Creature Deck

Manabase

The goal is to have{3}{G} at T2.

Ignoble Hierarch , Devoted Druid , Lotus Petal , Elvish Spirit Guide and Dark Ritual usually make it. Even if the mana curve seems really high that's the highest casting cost needed.

Main Trick

You can then cheat scary creatures with Monster Manual , Pattern of Rebirth or Natural OrderGC.

Combo

Best combo is Devoted Druid + Pattern of Rebirth, by giving it -1 counters you have mana and it sacrifices itself for any creature in deck.

Monsters

I've selected the most game-changing creatures that can directly effect the match, I try to keep them closest to Golgari as possible for personal taste. Many of the 9 have ETB effect, I usually use:

• Apex Altisaur when op has many small creatures it wipes them out (goblin, elves, tokens...)

• Ashen Rider when I need to get rid of permanents

• Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant when I have creatures in hand

• Elderscale Wurm when I've few life points. I know it may be safer with platinum creatures but it fits better in this deck

• Atraxa, Grand Unifier when I quickly need cards in hand

• Archon of Cruelty when the game is predictable and desire a slow but compelling victory

• Tyrranax Rex when I need to deal damage quickly or against lifegain decks

• Progenitus when the op targets creatures easily

• Emrakul, the Aeons Torn honestly any other time. Always shocking if delivered at T2.

Defense

This deck is very weak at T1-3, I usually take all damage but it's very effective to use Eaten Alive as it helps sacrifice a creature with Pattern of Rebirth and exile a dangerous creature.

Side

I'm currently working on the side in order to make it more competitive but I've very little experience

Strengths

I noticed the deck keeps up against counter (not too aggressive) as the big 9 creatures are never casted. There are simular decks that inspired me (thanks Plain ole Sneak and Show and deck:Call of the Piper but I, personally, find this more aggressive.

I had a simular deck twenty years ago before it got stolen. It wasn't as expensive or strong but I'm thinking of restarting with this.
