This started with a friend saying "Use Alms Beast and Treasury Thrull, they're so good." jokingly, and then it grew into this. It's made top 8 three weeks in a row now at my local FNM, and it's what I call Esper Midrange. It's unexpected, I play it for laughs, and it does pretty decently. There's nothing quite like playing an Alms Beast and watching the other guy's face, or stealing a Bant control deck's Thragtusk a couple times over. Give it a try if you want, it's a lot of fun. The only thing that screws it over is very very fast aggro. Esper control can be a problem, but other than those two it seems to fair decently well.

The basic idea is to stall until turn 4, when you play your first fatty. From there it just snowballs. It's a little more complex than that in practice, but in theory that's the basic idea.
