Will these combinational play styles work?

My idea was first to run a "Pay Life" deck with Font of Agonies , then I wanted to add a discard concept with Davriel, Rogue Shadowmage and lastly I felt I needed some creatures and some of the actual power of black... Vampires. Combos would be any of Font of Agonies + Arguel's Blood Fast, Adanto Vanguard or Godless Shrine. The Sorin's work together on the vampires this deck has. The rest of the deck is built so that the opponent won't have many cards to choose from to remove my threats.

I've done lots of deck building in Hearthstone, but this is my first in MTG so any feedback would be appreciated.
