Rules Q&A
Commodore Guff
Legendary Planeswalker — Guff
At the beginning of your end step, put a loyalty counter on another target planeswalker you control.
+1: Create a 1/1 red Wizard creature token with ": Add . Spend this mana only to cast a planeswalker spell."
-3: You draw X cards and Commodore Guff deals X damage to each opponent, where X is the number of planeswalkers you control.
Commodore Guff can be your commander.

I saw that Grist, the Hunger Tide is listed in the possible commanders section on EDHREC, as I am currently trying to build a deck in that color wheel. I already play Commodore Guff as a commander, but he has a ruling that says he can be in that spot.
Grist, the Hunger Tide does not say that... so why is it in that section of the EDHREC website? If it can be, I am thinking about building around it.

I don't think that Tamiyo, Field Researcher can be your commander. For example, Commodore Guff says he can be the commander in the text.

Hello hello! Love me a good Guff list. I have some propositions given your description.
To protect your 'walkers, Disrupt Decorum and Taunt from the Rampart each deny your opponents from attacking them for a turn. In the same lens, Bothersome Quasit is a little more pricey but pairs well with your swath of instant-speed interaction.
Do you like your planeswalkers living? Well then I have the cheap solution for you! Fog. It's pretty good, but Green, right? Thankfully, White has some pretty good options that may be right up your alley. To be clear, some of these suck, but there's 15 for you.
Lastly, if you really want to hate out creatures on a budget, try Portcullis. It's terrible to play against. You'll have a great time.
That's all, folk! Maybe one or two of these will make it in, but I enjoyed the deck regardless. Easy +1.

I agree about Commodore Guff's sexiness. I am running a zero creature super friends build with him. Even though you have a few creatures, if you can afford it, I definitely recommend Humility. My win con is a little too elaborate, but I do it for nostalgia. Approach of the Second Sun would be a cool win option.

Those were going to be a couple other points, especially ramp and color fixing. Even going up to 30¢ a card, there's only 18 cards that cost less than three mana. Ramp and mana fixing are pretty much nonexistent--there's some weird stuff like Commodore Guff, but nothing for general use. Preston Garvey, Minuteman
is pretty much it, and that's three colors on five mana.
Still, with a $20 budget, I think I'm making some headway. It's still heavy on the goodstuff, but I think it's starting to come together.

What do you think could possibly save the "story" of the Phyrexians? I have an idea that could serve as a prompt: Commodore Guff is back at his old tricks of messing with the Phyrexians - this time preventing their victory against the multiverse. When Phyrexia was at war with Dominaria, Guff literally rewrote the book the reader was reading to undo the original timeline of a Phyrexian victory as depicted in Guff Rewrites History.

Bo Levar
Legendary Planeswalker- Bo
Vehicles you control have First strike, Flash and are unblockable.
+1 Whenever a vehicle you control attacks and isn't blocked, create a gold token and a treasure token.
-3 Draw a card, then discard a card. ~ deals damage equal to the discarded card's mana value.
-X Put a shield counter on X target permanents as if they don't have Hexproof, Shroud or Ward.

Bo Levar can be your Commander.
I built the card around Bo Levar's Lore and the cards associated with him. I picked Bo because Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury, Commodore Guff, Tevesh Szat, Doom of Fools and Lord Windgrace already have planeswalker cards.
Repeat. Or create a vehicle card named Titan Engine. It can only be crewed by Planeswalkers.

For the sake of completeness: Commodore Guff
Yes, that works, assuming you're asking about attacking and dealing combat damage. Any combat damage dealt by a commander is "commander damage". It doesn't matter whether or not the card itself was originally a creature card. The rule covering commander damage doesn't make a distinction:
903.10a A player who’s been dealt 21 or more combat damage by the same commander over the course of the game loses the game. (This is a state-based action. See rule 704.)
