Sorcery (1)

Enchantment (1)

This is my first red deck, strongly inspired on death-by-dragons-m15-update! It is almost the same deck but it adds some interesting things -i couldnt resist the Scourge of Valkas + Utvara Hellkite combo... it is just ridiculous!. I'm going to explain the main points of the deck:

(1) Slumbering Dragon is just a T1 drop to make the opponent think twice about attacking us. Quite usefull when Crucible of Fire arrives...!

(2) Burning-Tree Emissary, Generator Servant and Dragon Hatchling are the main core of the deck, believe it or not. The first ones are good T2 drops which substantially increase red devotion in order to use Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx and they also accelerate bigger dragons arrival by adding mana -in fact, sacking Generator Servant may lead to a T3-T4 hasty Scourge of Valkas!). On the other hand, Dragon Hatchling not only is a dragon that triggers up the Utvara Hellkite and Scourge of Valkas habilities: it can also become a solid beater if nothing comes to our hand and we have enough mana to pump it!

(3) Dragon Egg is a good defender and can trigger the Scourge of Valkas hability twice -first when it enters the game and then when it blocks!

(4) Now, the best part of the deck. When unleashed, Scourge of Valkas can start a whole loop of destruction. Just by dropping dragons it will start damaging your opponent or its creatures, but when paired with Utvara Hellkite, it can end games in a single turn. It deals damage exponentially as the 6/6 dragon tokens enter the game. For instance, if you drop the Utvara Hellkite and then you attack with the Scourge of Valkas and two dragon hatchlings, three 6/6 flying dragon tokens will enter the game. As their creature type is dragon, Scourge of Valkas' hability will trigger each time a token enters the game, causing 1 point of damage for each dragon you control each time a dragon arrives. First, it will cause 5 damages to target player of creature (2 hatchlings + Valkas + Utvara + Token); then, when the next token arrives to the game, another 6 damages (2 hatchlings + Valkas + Utvara + Token + Token) and lastly another 7 damages with the last token! A total of 18 damages in just one turn in addition to all those 6/6 flyers you've added... it is just crazy! Well, imagine if you have two Scourge of Valkas or Utvara Hellkites in game... unbelievable!

(5) Hellkite Charger is there because is sort of a cheap hasty dragon which can get you a lot of tokens along with Utvara Hellkite if you have enough mana. Just in case Scourge of Valkas doesen't show up... It can be substituted by Hellkite Tyrant if fighting against affinity or tron decks or Siege Dragon if playing against elf or token decks (this last dragon is extremely usefull against this kind of decks... Balefire Dragon is much better but also much more expensive and it gives a similar result when dealing with small creatures armies...)

(6) On the other hand, some damaging spells like Lightning Strike or Magma Jet will allow you to erase messy little creatures or keep you entertained if no dragon comes to your hand. You can use the Scry hability of Magma Jet or Wild Guess to draw Utvaras or Valkas faster. If you have to deal with blue or white decks, you can deal with their spells with Lightning Greaves. Also, you can use Infernal Plunge on a Dragon Egg or Burning-Tree Emissary to get extra mana (and to obtain a 2/2 pumpable dragon in the first case)

(7) Finally, Crucible of Fire will make everything bigger and stronger an deadlier. Which is definitely good.

That's all in a nutshell, i hope you liked it! Thanks to Wargoat47, WilliamsIan and all the users that inspired this deck (as I said, I am new to MTG so this is merely a copied deck!). Advice is appreciated, thanks in advance!
