Simic Budget Ramp (Standard MTG Deck)

If you like action and playing creatures FAST then this is the deck for you. We're seeing all these Zombie and Aetherworks Marvel decks that have seemed to take over standard! While Simic is not the most common in standard, I absolutely see its implication with the Amonkhet release of Nissa, Steward of Elements. Now onto the plays! Early cards, of course, need to be your wonderful and lovable MANA DORKS!!! Our suite of choices includes Channeler Initiate, Druid of the Cowl, and Weaver of Currents. I chose to go with Druid of the Cowl over Servant of the Conduit or Naga Vitalist because it is out of the range of Magma Spray which we see rampaging standard. Another source of creature ramp is Rishkar, Peema Renegade. I mean WOW! This dood can make himself a source of mana AND some other creature a reliable source of mana! Combined with Verdurous Gearhulk, your ramp is INSANE. Non-creature ramp includes Bounty of the Luxa and Hedron Archive. Both cards are solid and provide mid-game mana advantage.Now, onto your big boys. These include Elder Deep-Fiend and Void Winnower. One amazing strategy to I was taught for a 4th turn Elder Deep-Fiend requires tapping Weaver of Currents for two mana, sacrificing him, and casting Elder Deep-Fiend for 2 mana, due to his surge cost. Void Winnower is a great card and most definitely does not take 9 turns to cast him, especially with the use of Champion of Rhonas. Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger would obviously be a great addition/replacement for Void Winnower. Since the Marvel has been banned, he has become a lot more affordable!Draw cards are fairly light in this deck due to the need for a high-density creature and ramp card count. However, Bounty of the Luxa, Rashmi, Eternities Crafter, and Lifecrafter's Bestiary do a decent job of keeping your hand semi-full.Overall, this creature-based deck will be a lot of fun to play with a lot of ramp and a lot of powerful creatures :)
