I have been playing all sorts of delver variants ever since the card got printed, from UW Geist, to UR delver in Legacy. So, once opt got reprinted i figured out that maybe we can bring back the UR shell to life!
The deck works similarly to the UR delver deck pre-treasure cruise ban.
Cantrips trigger prowess.
Bedlam reveler is our payoff card , drawing us the remaining burn that we need to finish our opponents off.
Spell pierce protects our dudes from early removal. counters Chalice of the Void, Liliana,and delays tron and wrath effects.
Soul scar mage and forked bolt helps against kitchen finks and lingering souls.
Spite of mogis works as doomblade for us, getting rid of even the largest of threats.
Vapor snag creates an insane amount of tempo, i originally had a full playset but since adding spite of mogis and given all the creatures with ETB triggers, 3 is just fine.
The 2 Lava Spikes are there to push some extra points of damage after our dudes have died and bedlam has drawn us more cards. i dont play a full set because this deck wants to do most of the damage through combat.
We kill blockers . trigger our prowess dudes. protect the queen. and we burn them out before they get to stablish themselves into the midgame.
The sideboard is geared towards defeating affinity/tron, company and graveyard decks. the 3 dispels are there so we dont loose to decks that pack 4 bolts, 4 paths, 4 helix, and 4 snapcaster mages.
