This is my version of pauper affinity, with Arcbound Worker s instead of Terrarion s and a Krark-Clan Shaman instead of another Atog .

Disciple of the Vault isn't getting anywhere near this deck. He adds weakness to the weakest part of the affinity deck, which is: cards that do nothing by themselves. Fling, I'm looking at you too.

In this list, I tried to pick cards that were strong individually, or at least not nothing, but which are also super powerful in combination with other cards in the deck.

The driving force which keeps the deck chugging (or racing) along is Ichor Wellspring + Perilous Research and/or Atog + Ichor Wellspring depending on the situation. Ichor Wellspring + Krark-Clan Shaman is another way to cash in at the Card Advantage Credit Union.

Right now I'm trying to test to see whether Arcbound Worker or Flayer Husk is better in the 1-drop creature spot, but they're both useful in much the same way: making Perilous Research better and retaining value when sacrificed.

The advantage of Arcbound Worker is that it can be sacrificed to Atog and Krark-Clan Shaman without losing the +1/+1 counter (if I have another artifact creature in play), whereas I can't do that with the Flayer Husk . On the other hand, I can sacrifice the germ token if I play Flayer Husk followed by Perilous Research while keeping the equipment around for affinity and buff. Also, Flayer Husk can go on an Atog or a Carapace Forger , which is nice.

The inclusion of a Krark-Clan Shaman is my own personal touch, as I've found having a board wipe option can bring back so many games that seemed hopelessly lost, and he goes especially well in this build, as sacrificing the wellspring is advantage on advantage.

I really want to fit in a 1x Rancor just because it can be sacrificed to Perilous Research while also speeding up Arcbound Worker s, putting Myr Enforcer s and Carapace Forger s over the top, and making Atog an insta-win.

Okay, sorry for the long description! Any comments or suggestions would be awesome. Thank you!

Updates Add

I just discovered Myr Servitor. He feeds the deck's sac engines even better than the Arcbound Worker or the Flayer Husk, while still pairing with Springleaf Drum for early ramp, accelerating affinity, and, unlike the previous two options, he can have a substantial impact if I draw a second or third copy late game, feeding Atog or Krark-Clan Shaman or even just chump blocking.

We'll see if he's as good as I think he is.

--later--

Alright, he wasn't as good as I thought he was going to be, but during testing I realized that, contrary to my original opinion, Disciple of the Vault might actually be really good in this build.
