Mill with Startled Awake  , control what your opponents play with Void Shatter and Scatter to the Winds. Keep the board clear with Planar Outburst and Radiant Flames . All the instants and sorceries in the deck should allow rapid flips of Thing in the Ice  . Nahiri, the Harbinger gives card draw and madness activation, removal, and lets you dig for Archangel Avacyn   if you need. Archangel Avacyn   and Planar Outburst are a useful combo. Brain in a Jar makes that combo easier and also doable at any point with the right counters on the jar. Planar Outburst and Scatter to the Winds can make Needle Spires into a beast when you turn it on.
