This deck was one of my first decks. Of course I did not have any of the cool additions such as Karlov of the Ghost Council, and Drana's Emissary. I previously used Pacifism instead of
One Thousand Lashes
. I found
One Thousand Lashes
after I already broke the deck. So, this is the new and improved Orzhov deck. This deck focuses on taxing the life out of your enemy until you can either suck them dry or until you can use Debt to the Deathless. I also use a total of seven cards to keep their critters at bay. The deck plays pretty well, however it is somewhat slow, so cards such as Maw of the Obzedat, and Vault of the Archangel work well to keep my creatures a threat. To keep my creatures ready for heavy attacks and super creatures. I love Orzhov, it is an amazingly powerful mix between life sucking and spot removal.

Child of Night
. This little vampire is a small mana cost extort trigger.
Dutiful Thrull
- This little bugger helps trip Maw of the Obzedat. He also keeps creatures on my side of the board.
Kingpin's Pet/Drana's Emissary- These are flying blockers and life gains.
Crypt Ghast- Such an amazing card. He works like a charm with Urborg and Debt to the Deathless.

- A life gain mechanic.
Staff of the Death Magus
- A life gain Mechanic that gets better triggers when using Urborg.
Blind Obedience- Extort trigger, and slows down threats.
Sanguine Bond- A slimy and grimy way to take away health. I like it!!

- Something to keep their onslaught slowed and to keep their abilities down. Also life loss.
*Heavy Hitters
Karlov of the Ghost Council- A powerhouse when out, and a super spot removal when out long.
Maw of the Obzedat- A pretty efficient booster with the use of
Dutiful Thrull
.
*Key Lands
Vault of the Archangel- A necessary card for any Life gain deck. It helps make my critters become a powerful challenge.
Orzhova, the Church of Deals- A useful card that stays out of most kill ranges and gives me life when my feathers, and magus's have been stripped from me.
The sideboard is a mix of graveyard hate and getting better numbers of different cards in different situations.
