  • Teferi, Master of Time - ANOTHER Teferi to add into the frustration. Surface level he seems very strong (which he is) but upon further inspection he's actually quite balanced than other iterations. First ability is card selection rather than an advantage, second protect himself but not on the turn you play him so there is a drop off. And Ult is as simple as you can get for a Time Wizard. Will look closer to this in the coming days.

  • Mangara, the Diplomat - Has a decent body with a relevant ability against aggro with implications against spell-based/draw-based decks. Tough to kill in combat and gives much card advantage. Only problem I see is that the 4-mana slot seems to be a crucial point in the game for something with more impact like Shatter the Sky but can see myself have this maybe in the sideboard.

  • Containment Priest - possibly a sideboard option depending on how the meta plays with "cheat" decks. Interesting to be reprinted and now both Historic, Modern, and Pioneer legal.

  • Ugin, the Spirit Dragon - Because WHY THE HELL NOT. Even a single copy of Ugin in the deck will give us a powerful top end threat that wins us the game. Thanks to Yorion and Solemn Simulacrum, we have our own ramping engine to aid us in achieving this. Not definitive but this is a for-sure playtest attempt.

  • Rewind - Y E S. I personally am happy to see this back in Standard BUT at the same time angry from ramp and flash decks.

  • Angelic Ascension - VERY interesting removal spell to take out any creature or plansewalker without condition OR could fizzle out a targetted spell to make ourselves a threat that can start to apply more pressure. The implications and play patterns with this card are quite good.

  • Solemn Simulacrum - This might be the card that will tempt me to play Yorion, Sky Nomad in order to maximize the card's potential, being able to ramp into a 6-drop while providing an efficient body to block aggro and will, in turn, net us card advantage.

  • Frantic Inventory - Another card that helps considering using Yorion in a future build. This together with Omen of the Sea gives control a powerful card draw suite, granted Omen is somewhat stronger in conjunction with Yorion.

  • Mazemind Tome - A couple of years back there was a card used in this very same strategy called Treasure Map  Flip which almost serves the same purpose to help fix our draws, draw a card, can even gain us life. Combined with either Yorion, Sky Nomad or Teferi, Time Raveler, we can reset the card and continue the value generation without use needing to exile. I can see this card being a major player in the coming format.

  • Sublime Epiphany - First off I'd like to say that this card is extremely hilarious. Jokes aside, it may be able to get there. The Birth of Meletis and Solemn Simulacrum with Yorion synergy enables us to get mana and ramp fast to our higher end cards. And with Sad Robot or Yorion in the field, our discount Cryptic Command does a very good impression of our old friend Torrential Gearhulk. Personally worth a try initially.
