Ha Ha, I'm sorry, but I really think this deck would do really well if it had these cards in it. I'm sorry if I offended you in any way, I was just trying to help. i'm not saying put these cards in, necessarily, but instead cards that, once you retrieve, would make the deck more... powerful. again I am sorry, and if what I suggested isn't in your budget, contact me (if you would like) and I can suggest a few budget cards that are still powerful to put in here.

Also, it may be hard to get land in a 67 card deck, so you might want to move 7 or so cards to the sideboard so that you have a 60 card deck.

I like it. The Sedge Scorpions don't do anything more than the Wasteland Viper, so I'd ditch them to grab another Wasteland Viper. Witchstalker is a good sideboard card as well as Mistcutter Hydra, so I'd move the Witchstalker to the sideboard and try to pick up one to two Mistcutters for the sideboard. Strionic Resonator is an all right card, but I personally would leave it. The Strionic Resonater could work great, I just haven't had much experience with it. Time to Feed just seems like a waste of time unless you're running heroic, so I'd drop at least two of those. You could definitely afford to drop at least one Advocate, but that is up to you. Verdant Haven doesn't look like it belongs there to me, so I'd drop those as well as ditch one Trollhide. Enlarge is my favorite card so I'm biased there. Everything else looks pretty tight, I'd suggest adding another Nykthos, as well as four Burning Tree Emissaries, because they are so good for devotion with Nykthos. Maybe add one or two Arbor Colossus to combat flying as well. I hope this was helpful. +1! :)

Thanks! I would add another Wasteland Viper if I had one... I like the Witchstalker for their devotion as well but I can see where they would be good in the Sideboard. The Strionic Resonator has been great!!! It lets me double Reverent Hunter and helps with Advocate of the Beast . Time to Feed is in their for removal of ability creatures. I probably should drop the Verdant Haven . The Burning-Tree Emissary is a great idea!

I could see the Strionic Resonator actually being quite helpful in this deck for some cards like Worldspine Wurm , Giant Adephage , or even Reverent Hunter . I suggest you drop Advocate of the Beast , Trollhide , Time to Feed , and put Witchstalker in sideboard to add 4x Elvish Mystic and possibly Sylvan Caryatid or even Voyaging Satyr to help you get those huge dudes out sooner. I know that Sylvan Caryatid is a bit pricy, but I believe it to be a sound investment, due to its ability to be played in any deck involving green (it would still be playable if you were to switch colors). Also, try to drop a Forest or two because some more Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx could be huge in this deck, and awesome in combination with Voyaging Satyr . This could be rough on your budget, but over the a period of time, I believe it is able to be done.

Check out my deck on my profile Jund ManaRamp (Needs Work!) and let me know what you think please! It continues to lose a few games at FNM to pesky Esper Control decks. Any sggestions are helpful.

I'm working on getting a few Sylvan Caryatid to add. I took out my Voyaging Satyr because Gyre Sage works better with the counters. U/B Contol is my hardest match up. I added the Skylasher to the side bord which helps a ton.

Cool. If it fits your budget though, I would definitely get a playset of Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx .

I'd say a set of Burning-Tree Emissary for free devotion, and probably another Nykthos to make it semi-reliable. With so many devotion-heavy cards, dropping the Worldspine shouldn't be any problem with Nykthos. If you do go the route of Nykthos, Voyaging Satyr has some great synergy with the Shrine, and otherwise acts as a somewhat sturdy dork.

I need the Burning-Tree Emissary . I only have one and running that really isn't worth it. I used to run Voyaging Satyr with Verdant Haven but Elvish Mystic and Karametra's Acolyte work better in my opinion.

February 18, 2014 9:36 p.m.

You need Sylvan Caryatid .

Hey there, nice deck! I'd suggest Nylea's Disciple when facing Aggro, otherwise very strong deck. You're right - similar to my mogreen devo. :-)

From my testing Nylea's Disciple doesn't help much, granted most of my metagame is mono black. I actually finally took first at an FNM with this deck.

I recommend going 4x on the Kalonian Tusker . Double devotion and quite agressive. Pit Fight over Time to Feed .

I have no idea what your budget is, but I bet you'd benefit from more Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx to consistently draw it, and also Scavenging Ooze .

I agree with Pit Fight the three life gain is nice but not worth the sorcery speed. I was thinking about going up to three on Kalonian Tusker the issue i have is drawing them late game. Sadly i do not have money to buy another Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx . Thanks for the help!!

I have a deck very similar to this (Devotion To Forna), but it ended up being modern. I would suggest a few more instants and enchantments for creature protection, Mortal's Resolve and Alpha Authority worked well for me.

I think late-game scaling is a poor reason to not include more Kalonian Tusker . 3/3 for 2 is very efficient, and aggressive. Drawing it late game wouldn't be terrible, because it's essentially "free" if you have Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx on the field. (2 devotion compensates the activation cost).

Even if you don't have nykthos, 3 P/T is very relevant in the current meta. It has great matchups vs Pack Rat , Nightveil Specter , survives all of the red removal being played in standard except Lightning Strike and Mizzium Mortars , (notably Searing Blood and Shock ), will trade up with any aggressive creature with 3 or less toughness (notably Boon Satyr ). If mono-green devotion (i.e no support color) is your thing, and you want to be aggressive, then Kalonian Tusker should be a 4x.

What should I take out for the 2 Kalonian Tusker ?

Burning-Tree Emissary . Free devotion. You need these in; they'll give you the ability to play your biggest meanies turn 3. With that in mind, you'll need a lot more card advantage, so i'd suggest additional Garruks.

I agree on polukranos. With the stupid amount of mana you'll be generating right before you finish the enemy off, you can monstrous polukranos for a ridiculous amount, 6 or 7 probably. Then you attack your units into a clear board.

hey all you green people, i havea deck pretty similar to this, thoughts devo to simic, i really like this deck plays similar to mine, although mine is more rampy, and def like the nyleas discple for vs aggro 3/3 relevent and the life gain with this much devo is huge in stabalizing

I don't love Burning-Tree Emissary because of the amount of people around me that play Bile Blight and Searing Blood . Sadly i don't have money to drop on to another Garruk, Caller of Beasts before he rolls out. Karametra's Acolyte is actually on of the best cards in this deck. It makes ridiculous amounts of mana. I think ill add Nylea's Disciple to the sideboard for a try
