Combo: Vesuvan Drifter+Blightsteel Colossus+Glasspool Mimic

The goal of the deck is to get a Blightsteel Colossus on top of our library for our Vesuvan Drifters to become flying copies of. If we're exceptionally lucky, we'll manage to make a copy of the Drifter using Glasspool Mimic
while the Drifter is still a copy of the Colossus. Now we have a token copy permanently, which makes the deck viable in a casual multiplayer setting.
To that end, it's vital we have all the parts we need to make the combo work, especially the spells that put cards from our hand back on top of our library. It's also important to be able to hang in the game long enough to get the combo out. So there's a good variety of counterspell and protection along with durable, flying defenders to ward off opponents while we get our lethal attack ready.
Blue is not my best color, so thoughtful, relevant advice is welcome.
Put Blightsteel Colossus on top of our library and keep it there:
Brainstone - our lowest MV and fastest method of putting a Blightsteel Colossus on top of our library. Solid T1 play, but only works once. Does not filter spells like Jace.
Jace, the Mind Sculptor - puts Blighsteel Colossus on top of our library indefinitely. Filters our library for any spell, 3 cards at a time. Slower than Brainstone at 4 MV
Scheming Symmetry - Puts a Blightsteel Colossus on top of our library for {B}. Gives an opponent the same, but we plan on them being dead before they can draw it. Could be used to tutor other spells but extremely risky.
Mystic Speculation - reorders spells after a Brainstone to place Blighsteel Colossus 1 spell below the top so the next turn, our Drifter can copy the Colossus again following our draw step. Can also be used to filter through the deck to look for any spell.
Defense!
Counterspell - works on everything, provided we've got the mana ready
Miscast - effective at stopping spells that target our Drifters, and for only 1MV
Mizzium Skin - effective at protecting any or all our creatures from being targetted
Darkness - black fog!
Cyclonic Rift - don't let them block our flying Colossus! Also late game "board wipe" & token killer.
Fog Bank - durable defenders - multiplayer is mean!
Guard Gomazoa - more durable defenders - multiplayer is mean!
