Testing for standard.

The deck plays similarly to B/G Midrange. The B/G explore package is replaced with Dusk Legion Zealot, Midnight Reaper, and Isareth the Awakener which can provide ample draw power together.

The removal suite is also similar to B/G Midrange, including a full play-set of Ravenous Chupacabra and a number of Cast Down and Lightning Strike. Isareth also combos well with Ravenous Chupacabra. Golden Demise is a quicker sweeper than find/finality and hits a lot of popularly played early game creatures. It can also provide fuel for Midnight Reaper or recycle Dusk Legion Zealot or Ravenous Chupacabra for Isareth the Awakener. Lightning Strike, Rekindling Phoenix, and Doom Whisperer are the main finishers. Angrath, the Flame-Chained and Karn, Scion of Urza provide additional control and card advantage.

This deck has a lot of similar play patterns as B/G Midrange but comes with better reach in the form of big flyers and Lightning Strike. It also is a bit further off the radar in the meta-game than B/g.

Of course, B/G Midrange does some things better than this deck. B/G has access to Carnage Tyrant which beats most control decks outright. B/G also has life gain with Wildgrowth Walker. I believe the trade off for playing Rakdos over Golgari is a potentially quicker clock rather than out value them.

Edit 7 Dec 2018: Took out Golden Demise, Cast Down, and modified creature counts. Added Burglar Rat, Vraska's Contempt, and Find / Finality for some better early game agency and control/recycle power. Would like to test out Treasure Map   or something similar to turn on Finality if possible.
