Solemn Simulacrum will be replacing the cartographer next time I buy cards!
Risky Move seems too... perilous
hoardofnotions special thanks to you good sir!
I like those mana rocks! I'll probably pick some up to replace Fire Diamond etc.
Bloodshot Cyclops is in my sideboard, haven't really felt the need for him yet.
Gift of Immortality was nice, but cut for more aggressive stuff. Could find it's way back though.
Marshal's Anthem was cut for more card draw. Could also find it's way back it.
Actually, I was thinking that I'd cut the colossus for the Dragon! Read my mind!
Thawing Glaciers is slightly over my $5 budget, but it's on the radar for when I eventually upgrade this deck.
I thought spinerock world be great too, but I was wrong. I mostly exiled lands/mana ramp, and most of the creatures I'd want to cast would have to come after combat, thus making most of my creatures useless(say, Spark Trooper is the only good target, doesn't work). Anyway, I think I just don't have enough good targets for it, and got seriously screwed three times in a row.
Thanks again for the comment guys!

also the deck now has a small splash of white, which both fits the samut flavor and allows for Spark Trooper join in.

Looking for some last minute opinions/suggestions before I buy some cards later. $5 and under please!
Take a look at the deck and then come back:
Looking for suggestions of:
Cheap R/W board wipes.
Mana base/mana ramp.
In addition to any card suggestions you may have, a few questions:
Is Phyrexian Dreadnought worth the money?
Is Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker worth the money?
Thanks in advance!

Here's some comments about the deck.
The charm of this Boros is that it is a mid speed aggro, with versatility. It is quite fast, hits pretty hard, and the opponent is many times quite surprised by the sudden onslaught. 2 creatures is what you want, then you will drop your haste creature, and BAM, Battalion triggers. To get the trigger on Firemane Avenger (who's is a 3/3 flier who spams Lightning Helix), is a force to be reckoned with.
This brings us to the other side of the deck, Boros Reckoner; the best Boros card ever printed (maybe besides Boros Charm ) is an excellent blocker here, who everyone is afraid of. Not only can it kill 1-2 power creatures, it also redirects the damage it gets, and possibly kills another creature or deals some small damage to the player as a finisher. Your opponents are very afraid to attack with their big beasties if they don't have trample, as if you block them, it means a massive damage to them as well.
Furthermore, you have a backup plan. If you see yourself being overpowered, play defensively, and get a Boros Reckoner with a Blasphemous Act in hand. Once you have Boros Reckoner in the play and there are around 5 creatures altogether on the battlefield, you can cast Blasphemous Act usually for 4-3 mana for 13 damage to all creatures. This will wipe you out as well, but: you destroy their army, and due to Boros Reckoner's ability, you can deal 13 damage to the player... that is what I call value.
This is usually enough to finish the game, it is hard not to get to such a state and not have nibbed down 7 damage from the opponent.
Some other nifty things in the deck are:
Spark Trooper with Boros Charm and double strike for 12 damage and 12 lifegain; Proc-ing Battalion with an Act of Treason with Reverberate; Iroas, God of Victory easily gets to be a creature due to high mana symbol amount on cards; Dropping a Legion Loyalist when none expect it, instantly triggering your battalion
Overall a very fun deck, which is easy to pilot, straightforward to play and really good against slower decks. The strength of the deck is in versatility, good speed, and some nice combo with BR and BA.
Have fun! Ianco

Fair enough. One of my favourite decks from before was when RTR-THE was standard, and I had a mardu brew before Mardu was a name, and it played:Chandra, Pyromaster, Boros Reckoner, Blood Baron of Vizkopa, Stormbreath Dragon, Spark Trooper, Warleader's Helix, Magma Jet (one of the best cards in the deck because it set me up to avoid mana screw on turn two)etc.
Didn't do to badly either, so I wish I had a deck like it still. Nostalgia I guess, so its good to be brought back to earth with what is better modern playable stuff. I was also tickled pink, as it were, to see the Skred Red deck Kevin Mackie won with back a few months, and I wish there was a Mardu brew that could play stuff like it did.

I appreciate the thorough answers to my questions. Mardu is my favourite three colour scheme, one of my favourite commander decks to play (Royal Stax of Taxes), and is completely underrepresented in modern. Some day I hope to have a modern deck worth playing, and I want that deck to be Mardu colours, so I've been looking around a lot. I like this build... but it's hard for me to give up my attachment to cards like Spark Trooper and Blood Baron of Vizkopa... which is why I need to look at other people's ideas. My own are stumped by my love of a few favourites.

Mizzazzi I got ya!
I'm trying to use Brion Stoutarm to fling creatures I would have to sac anyways, like Spark Trooper or Crumbling Colossus. Since I already have to sac them, cards like Hazoret's Favor and Fatal Frenzy have no downside. Any and all suggestion/help is welcome as I've just started building this deck and want to make it good. Thanks!
