Walker of the Wastes Discussion

Silent Arbiter would work great as while, i wouldn't exile it when Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger enters the battlefield. It is always good to have basic lands in the deck, it helps avoid being mana screwed from cards like Ruination . this would also give you a reason to keep Walker of the Wastes . honestly, you only need one planeswalker which is Ugin, the Ineffable , the others are not as useful to you in an eldrazi deck, though all have great loyalty abilities, aren't as useful, and become targeted very quickly

Wow I wish I had some of these cards! Metalworker is completely insane. That said if you're looking for a way to squeeze in any of your maybeboard lands you could remove Temple of the False God . most of your mana comes from artifacts, not lands, and that card does nothing until you have four other lands out, so usually its completely dead in the opening hand and bad as a top deck until you have the lands to make it work. I'd rather have a basic than that in most cases. Something that I did with my Kozi deck is maximize the amount of Wastes in the land base. Its a neat way to explore what nonbasics are the best and it lets you play some pretty sweet cards like Endless Atlas , Walker of the Wastes , Terrain Generator , and best of all, Extraplanar Lens . Thespian's Stage is almost always a copy of a land that taps for two, and sometimes an opponent forgets you can target their lands with its ability and drops a Dark Depths which can be hilarious. Other than lands, I would HIGHLY recommend finding space for Warping Wail and Not of This World . The amount of times Warping Wail has saved me from a board wipe or Not of This World has saved an expensive eldrazi from cheap removal cant be understated. bonus points since Not of This World counters abilities, too. Good stuff though, I bet this deck ramps like Tony Hawk on meth.

Eldrazi Mimic 's triggered ability changes its base power and toughness to the entering creature's base power and toughness. Even though there's never a time that Walker of the Wastes is not a 6/6 in the scenario, it doesn't change that the base power and toughness of Walker of the Wastes is 4/4 and is modified by a continuous effect provided by the static ability.

It becomes a 6/6.

Eldrazi Mimic has a triggered ability. This ability goes on the stack and waits to resolve. It uses the P/T of the creature that entered when the trigger resolves in order to determine what Eldrazi Mimic 's P/T (potentially) becomes. Walker of the Wastes has a static ability that simply applies at any time that it is on the battlefield. There is never a moment that Walker of the Wastes is not a 6/6 with you controlling two wastes and no other effects.

If I have Eldrazi Mimic in play and I play Walker of the Wastes and I have 2 Wastes in play, does the mimic become a 4/4 or a 6/6?

Interesting Deck. I see some really nice potential plays by using Deceiver of Form and Mirrorpool to "cheat out" multiple copies of some big cards: multiple Conduit of Ruins can allow you to drop high cost eldrazi almost for free, and if you manage to copy Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger You could potentially deck your opponent out in one attack. If that's what your focusing on, you can use Conduit of Ruin to load your deck for the exact card to copy while using Seer's Lantern to scry for what you need also. Not sure if that's what your going for though; that description isn't very descriptive. lol If it is though, I would recommend taking out Sea Gate Wreckage for more Sanctum of Ugin for more tutoring rather than the more niche draw effect. Solemn Simulacrum would be great with Walker of the Wastes if you weren't in standard.
