Budget Pauper! Aww yeah!

(This description is not accurate. I have made several changes that have altered the deck slightly since this description was made.)

This is a pauper deck that has the main goal of activating one of its many combos to come out on top over the opponent. It is surprisingly effective for its price. It has several combos it can pull off.

The card choices:

Axebane Guardian - A combo piece.

Ponder - It digs nicely for the cards you need. You could replace this with some sort of counterspell.

Dizzy Spell - The transmute is why we are playing this. It can search for a Viridian Longbow, or it can search for a Night Market Lookout.

Drift of Phantasms - EPIC. It can search for a Freed from the Real, an Axebane Guardian, or a Soul Burn .

Evolving Wilds - Land thinning, and color fixing. What more could one want?

Freed from the Real - A combo piece. Even if you don't have a combo, however, it can work nicely with Night Market Lookout.

Karametra's Favor - Again, a combo piece. However, this is one of the less-used combos in the deck.

Orochi Leafcaller - It is useful for mana fixing, as well as allowing Overgrown Battlement to combo off and cast Soul Burn .

Viridian Longbow - A combo piece.

Soul Burn - Why play this over Fireball or Drain Life? Because it can be searched to by the Drift of Phantasms.

I am going to give a few scenarios of possible ways this decks wins. After, I will talk about all the combos.

This is given that you play one mana a turn. You need a swamp on T1, a Forest on T2, and an island on T3.

T1:Night Market Lookout

T2:Play Karametra's Favor on Night Market Lookout. You can tap it to give mana for a Dizzy Spell on opponents turn in case they have a threat.

T3:Play Freed from the Real on your creature. Tap it to add a blue mana with Karametra's Favor . Untap it with Freed from the Real. Tap it to add a blue mana with Karametra's Favor . Untap it with Freed from the Real. Repeat (this is dealing damage to the opponent with Night Market Lookouts ability). Reapeat. Repeat many more times. Brag about your awesome budget pauper deck.

That was basically the best case scenario. Another working thingy if you really need to get cards for one of the combos:

T1:Careful Study to get cards you need, assuming you don't have all the cards you need.

T2:Overgrown Battlement.

T3:Axebane Guardian. Tap Overgrown Battlement to add mana to cast Viridian Longbow.

T4:Play another Overgrown Battlement. Tap the three from your old Overgrown Battlement to equip the Viridian Longbow to itself. Use the Axebane Guardian to get mana to cast the Freed from Reality onto itself. Use a land to untap the Axebane Guardian with your Freed from Reality. Tap three to cast another Overgrown Battlement and untap itself again. Tap it again to cast another Freed from Reality onto the Overgrown Battlement with the Viridian Longbow. Use the last mana to untap itself. Now you have 2 Overgrown Battlements that are normal and one with the Viridian Longbow and a Freed from Reality. You also have one Axebane Guardian with a Freed from Reality. All things are untapped (excluding 3 lands) except the Overgrown Battlement with a Viridian Longbow and a Freed from Reality on it. Tap the Axebane Guardian. Add 4 to your mana pool. Use one to untap itself, one to untap the Overgrown Battlement. Tap the Overgrown Battlement to deal one damage to the opponent. Use the other mana to untap the Overgrown Battlement. Repeat, because now you have all your creatures untapped and your opponent at 19. Just continue to untap all your stuff with the Freed from Reality (you generate the mana to activate the untap with mana you get from Axebane Guardian) and continue to tap the Overgrown Battlement to deal damage to the opponent. As I said before, then you untap this. Repeat until opponent concedes or you deal 20 damage. Then you get bragging rights because you won on turn 4 with a 12 buck deck ;) Put simply, you won with: Freed from the Real + Axebane Guardian + Overgrown Battlement (or any defender) + Viridian Longbow = Infinite damage to creature or player. (tap add 2 mana, 1 to untap, tap to damage, 1 to untap...)

I am bored, so gonna describe more tomorrow. Bye ;)
