I just noticed Ojutai + Haunted Cloak might be pretty legit.

If we're talking Modern then Cranial Archive let's you shuffle your Yard back into your Library.

Learn from the Past but that'd require splashing Blue.

Primal Command, Psychic Spiral, any of the original eldrazi titans.

Fairly certain we were thinking about standard, guys.

Sad Zombie is Sad

This is one of my favorite card arts from this set. Its just so silly. The zombie is like "I'm innocent, I swear :(" and the human is like "Yeah, sure you are". I swear that zombie looks like he is about to cry.

Minelia5 says... #8

agreed, that card art is great xD

And it isnt a bad effect. Will see play in Blue's Clues.

For people wanting to shuffle their graveyard, Feldon's Cane has you covered. Although Elixir of Immortality also helps against aggressive decks.

CSSNiobic says... #11

Inverter of Truth is a Standard card that can keep you from milling out, though it's a bit tougher to time.

Wait, you've been testing Vampire madness? I'd love to talk to you about it and compare lists.

I currently have a BR vampire madness slightly slated toward aggro that i'm branching off into two separate decks: Hyper aggro with cards like Pale rider of trostad, Alms of the Vein, etc., and a more midrange one with the value madness cards like Murderous compulsion etc.

If you want to talk, lmk!

Hey guys. The Blue Investigate deck we've dubbed "Blue's Clues" will likely run Red for Ghirapur AEther Grid and early interaction (maybe some thoptermakers too?). Anyway, what is UR investigate gonna be called? I'm voting Blue's Fiery Clues (maybe angry clues instead? idk if that's "red" enough tho).

March 26, 2016 11:57 p.m.

VampireArmy says... #14

Yep though I'm just playing the most streamlined list i can right now. Came out similar to what channel fireball is running thus far.

March 26, 2016 11:58 p.m.

Ashockfan says... #15

kk sure. Btw are the personal messages still screwed up for anyone else? the first person on my list works just fine but after that it compresses and gets all broken and stuff

March 27, 2016 12:02 a.m.

Kroto says... #16

UR Artifact burn might be a pretty good deck. UB/UW/WB flyers might be good too tho. There's like 4 or 5 2/1 flyers for 2 now I think.

March 27, 2016 4:53 a.m.

DarkLaw says... #17

Yep, I'm making Slippery Mist in standard. And Jund Delirium.

Disappointed by the lack of Upheaval or Circular Logic, but then again, nobody else likes oppressive cards like I do :/ Why does Upheaval have to be banned in EDH?

I might also have to try some grindy U/G and U/R decks.

March 27, 2016 12:23 p.m.

I'm determined to get a playable The Gitrog Monster deck going in Standard. Does anyone have any builds that I could take a look at? If not, what colors do you see best?

I like either Sultai for Baby Jace and TITI, or Jund with efficient removal and recursion.

March 27, 2016 12:33 p.m.

TobyG says... #19

Those builds sound right. I am surprised by how well 3 color mana bases work out. I thought they would be much more fringe.

Anything with drownyard temple and Groundskeeper should be great. I'd try sultai or Jund

March 27, 2016 1:40 p.m.

Kroto says... #21

Gitrog + Molten Vortex ?

March 27, 2016 1:44 p.m.

AgentGreen says... #22

I guess the question now is if I wanted to go for a control build, do I stick with U/B (Maybe U/B Zombie control) or drop blue and go with B/W control

March 27, 2016 1:45 p.m.

TobyG says... #23

Go W/B. White has all the removal barring Ruinous Path in silkwrap, stasis snare, anguished unmaking, and declaration in stone.

March 27, 2016 1:57 p.m.

I put together a Sultai list and it was really clunky. Even with TITI and Baby Jace, it didn't seem to run well. I've been toying with a Jund list which I really like (which is weird, since I haven't not played blue in years).

I considered that Kroto, but you're already sacrificing lands to the Gitrog and you're somewhat limited with your recursion options. Groundskeeper is easily killed, so Drownyard Temple is the best option.

March 27, 2016 1:57 p.m.

TobyG says... #25

What do you all think the best deck post rotation will be? Frankly I think B/R vamps is overrated and bant company will remain as the top deck.

March 27, 2016 2:02 p.m.

Kroto says... #26

Well getting Drownyard Temple back end of turn would give <> in response to the trigger upkeep so that's managable i guess. Still a pretty high cost per turn at 2.

TobyG: eldrazi

March 27, 2016 2:06 p.m.

It's not entirely ideal, but you're able to play an extra land each turn and you draw a card for .

March 27, 2016 2:38 p.m.

TobyG says... #29

Also, I think shenanigans w/ Jace in U/X or U/xx will be viabl

DarkLaw says... #32

So, uh... Any good blue card draw in the new Standard?

March 27, 2016 5:11 p.m.

Ashockfan says... #33

Jace... And Pore Over the Pages

March 27, 2016 5:17 p.m.

Spootyone says... #34

Oh right I forgot that Dig Through Time rotates...

March 27, 2016 5:46 p.m.

Spootyone says... #35

You know, I'm a green mage and like it, but blue is one of my two second favorite colors. Blue simply not having the best card draw spell in ANY standard feels kind of weird. I understand there is inherent card advantage with the many various jaces, but you also get that sort of value from nearly any color.

March 27, 2016 5:48 p.m.

Kroto says... #36

Pieces of the Puzzle digs 5 cards deep, but you have to reveal everything so it's very meh. The other cards are all strictly worse so you can't rely on having good carddraw in blue. From Origins the most playable carddraw is probably Anticipate and the carddraw in blue from BFZ and OGW are just bad.

March 27, 2016 6:10 p.m.

Ashockfan says... #37

Spootyone

You have Jace, Vryn's Prodigy  Flip, and Pore Over the Pages... and to an extent even Oath of Jace. What more do you need? Let Green have their Oath of Nissa and the like.

And as a RB Player, I'm happy with my Tormenting Voice and the occasional Magmatic Insight

March 27, 2016 6:12 p.m.

Jace, Vryn's Prodigy  Flip is great. Pore Over the Pages and Oath of Jace really aren't that good. Blue needs instant-speed draw spells. Jace's Ingenuity was great. Dig Through Time was great. Epiphany at the Drownyard and Catalog are my favorites from SoI.

March 27, 2016 6:53 p.m.

PistonGolem says... #39

I don't get why people say Catalog is good. Divination is the same thing except a sorcery. Artificer's Epiphany is the exact same thing except that there is a way to bypass the discard a card effect. Can someone shed a bit of light?

March 27, 2016 7:10 p.m.

PistonGolem it is instant speed. Anything that is instant speed already has an advantage over Sorcerys. Also decks could use the graveyard so drawing two and discarding a card may even be even better.

March 27, 2016 7:26 p.m.

PistonGolem Also it leaves up mana for reaction spells such as counters. Drawing on your turn without mana up for counters on your enemies turn is very dangerous for a control deck.

Hot Traft on Traft Action...that is all.

Hallo Fan-Gemeinde!

Sry for that non-english post -.-*

Isn't this set just the best?

March 28, 2016 9:37 a.m.

I think it's the best to come out since old Innistrad. So much flavor and so much utility.

March 28, 2016 9:57 a.m.

Hamster2558 says... #48

Why cant all sets be like this.

March 28, 2016 10 a.m.

When you flash something back with Goblin Dark-Dwellers (like say Traverse the Ulvenwald) does it count itself when it checks for delirium?

March 28, 2016 10:19 a.m. Edited.

elpokitolama says... #50

Nope, as it is in the stack and not in the graveyard.
