GW Human/Angels

This is the first deck that I've ever built on my own as I'm a relatively new Magic player who has been playing for about 3 months now. When I saw the Eldritch Moon spoilers I really wanted to play with Brisela so I wanted to find some sort of deck that would help me play all of the powerful Angels in the format. Since a couple of them have good synergy with Humans, I thought I would put them in as well. The main point of the deck is the cycle through or simply search for my Angels as much as possible with Duskwatch Recruiter, Thalia's Lancers, and Eldritch Evolution.

Let me know if you have any tips. As I've said this is my first deck and I'm trying something I haven't seen before. In a couple of play tests by myself (I don't have many people to play with on weekdays) it seems pretty solid to get the Angels out quickly.

Cards:Gisela, Bruna, Avacyn, and Sigarda: The four angels I try to get out as a way to win the game. A plus if I can get the Brisela meld. All are two ofs to avoid the legend rule aside from Bruna, who is a one of.

Thalia: Another legend card that I run two of, was the main reason along with Sigarda that I decided to go with humans. Allows me to get angels better as they have to wait an extra turn to get going.

Thalia's Lancers: With all of the legend cards in the deck, I thought this would be a nice addition to fetch the specific one I want at a given time. Usually will get Gisela if I don't have one or Bruna if I do.

Duskwatch Recruiter/Primal Druid/Thraben Inspector: My one and two drops, these three are mostly either to cycle through the deck quicker or to get more mana to cast the angels more quickly. Primal Druid especially has been useful in play tests in combination with Eldritch Evolution.

Always Watching: Being a creature heavy deck, I thought this would be a great addition. This in conjunction with Gisela is a great combo.

Declaration in Stone/Dromoka's Command: The removal of the deck. I know Dromoka's does a lot more than removal but in my mind it seems like I would mostly do the counter and fight options.

Eldritch Evolution: I really like this card and think this shell works well with it. Sacrificing a Primal Druid to get a Gisela is awesome, and gets you a second land. I've also used it to get Thalia from Thraben Inspector as well. The only problem is that the only three drop in the deck is Thalia, and I don't want to sacrifice her to get an angel unless I have a second one in my hand.

In play tests, I get mana flooded a lot so I'm thinking of taking out a Plains and a Forest in favor of two Tireless Trackers (or another three drop that has advantage like Desperate Sentry) or another Primal Druid and Eldritch Evolution.

I played my first FNM with this deck tonight.

Game 1: Won 2-0 vs. Aristocrats. To be fair, this match was not the best matchup as it was a younger kid whose deck wasn't complete. I was able to get Brisela out on the field in game two to close it out. Gisela did a lot of work, and I was able to remove his Zulaport Cutthroat in both games, which pretty much locked things away for me in both games.

Game 2: Won 1-0 vs. GW Tokens. This was probably my favorite game of Magic I've ever played. Game 1 I got a Gisela on turn 3 off of a Primal Druid - Eldritch Evolution. She was able to fly over his blockers to take out a Gideon and two Nissas before they were able to do too much damage. With Always Watching, she was able to go on defense too. The extra health I got from that put me around 35. He Tragic Arroganced, which was fine since I had Bruna in my hand with the necessary mana, but he had two and used it on Brisela the next turn which was sad. However my next draw was Thalia's Lancers so I grabbed my other Gisela, which did work for the rest of the match and won me the game. Game 2 we just had clogged board states, but I was able to get Brisela out uncontested and get two swings in. I would've won this game but I was dumb and didn't realize Declaration in Stone was 2 mana and we ended up drawing the game so I win 1-0 so I'm not too worried about it. Sideboarded in the playset of Sylvan Advocate for token blocking.

Game 3 Lost 0-2 to 4 Color Dragons: This was a pretty bad blowout in reality. He got his mana both games fairly quickly and I was mana flooded badly. I'm glad I got to play this game as there are a couple of cards I definitely want to work on the lower end of the curve as Primal Druid was a completely dead card here. Also thinking Sigarda isn't the best addition to this and just to run Tireless Tracker or Sylvan Advocate in the main. Sideboarded in the Clip Wings and Stasis Snares, which I feel was the right move but didn't help.

Game 4 Won 2-0 to ???: I'm not really sure what this kid was trying to do, I know he had Emrakul but he never got it out and didn't have anything to search for it. Somehow he had gone 2-1 to this point but I pretty much blew him out. This taught me that Gisela is very good and I like being able to Eldritch Evolution on turn 3 into her.

Overall 3-1 3rd Place: This was actually tied for my best finish at FNM, and on a personal brew so I was pretty proud. The deck definitely needs work, and I'm gonna tinker with the lower curve and considering cutting Sigarda and playing some non-humans on the lower curve like Sylvan Advocate. Also thinking of 3 drops like Tireless Tracker and maybe even putting some more Eldritch Evolutions in.
