Eldrazi Displacer is one helluva card.
For card choices:
Stoneblade package:
4x Stoneforge Mystic
1x Batterskull
1x Sword of Fire and Ice
1x Sword of Light and Shadow
A relatively standard package, though a bit heavy on the equipment side. It might turn out that one or two of the swords ends up in the side depending on the meta, but I have space in the Mainboard for now so I'll run them.
Eldrazi aggro package:
4x Thought-Knot Seer
4x Reality Smasher
4x Matter Reshaper
4x Ancient Stirrings
4x Brushland
4x Eldrazi Temple
1x Wastes
1x Wooded Bastion
An effective way to get damage in quickly, though the Matter Reshapers are more of a value card than an aggro one. The lands listed all produce colourless mana for casting Eldrazi. Ancient Stirrings finds Eldrazi and lands primarily, it can also get equipment if needed or can make sure they stay in the deck for Stoneforge Mystic to find later.
Displacer package:
4x Eldrazi Displacer
2x Knight of Autumn
A small and simple package to facilitate ETB effects. Synergises with Stoneforge Mystic to continue to find equipment, can trigger Thought-Knot Seer again to push their hand towards flooding and Knight of Autumn for continual life gain or artifact and enchantment removal.
Others:
4x Path to Exile
4x Noble Hierarch
Path to Exile is a great 1-mana removal spell, it can deal with any targetable creature. Noble Hierarch is the preferred mana dork in Bant colors due to exalted.
Lands:
Gotta have 'em to play the game, unless you're manaless Dredge...
Sideboard:
1x Sword of Feast and Famine
In the sideboard in case I'm against green removal, also untapping lands is great with Eldrazi Displacer, and making the opponent discard is nice.
2x Chalice of the Void
A good card to set at X = 1 to disrupt burn, early tron plays and other decks that heavily focus on 1-drops.
3x Damping Sphere
Good against tron after it has it's tron lands out. Also good against storm or other multi-spell per turn decks.
3x Kor Firewalker
Probably my least confident sideboard pick, aimed at burn, particularly since RDW lists focus on creatures as much as spells, also effective against goblins.
3x Rest in Peace
Generic graveyard hate, you just gotta have it in this format.
3x Veil of Summer
Great against control decks, particularly counter spells and hand disruption. Doesn't work against Aether Gust, but all they can his is Knight of Autumn, Ancient Stirrings and Noble Hierarch, so it's not a big concern.
Considerations:
3-4x Thalia, Guardian of Thraben
4x Leonin Arbiter
2x Giver of Runes
2-4x Ranger-Captain of Eos
2x Collector Ouphe (Sideboard)
1-2x Gideon, Ally of Zendikar (Sideboard)
2-4x Leyline of Sanctity (Sideboard)
The tax package of Thalia, Guardian of Thraben and Leonin Arbiter is a powerful one, but I wanted to play Prismatic Vista to fetch the colours (or colorless) lands so Arbiter was out. Thalia is still a strong maybe that could find space in the Mainboard if some equipment is taken out. The Giver of Runes and Ranger-Captain of Eos package is also a strong one that can shut off interaction from opponents, but ultimately decided that it wasn't worth the space. Collector Ouphe is a strong sideboard card, but messes with the Stoneblade package too much, it might be worth introducing if the meta becomes more focused on activated abilities of artifacts again. Gideon, Ally of Zendikar is a good choice against slower decks since he pumps out tokens, can swing pretty hard and can be an anthem, but I decided that it wasn't a game plan worth pursuing over the other strategies in the deck. Leyline of Sanctity was a tough one to cut since it works out so well against burn and hand disruption, but RDW lists are focusing less on burn spells and more on prowess creatures, so efficient blockers like Kor Firewalker and 1-mana disruption like Chalice of the Void seemed better suited. For hand disruption, Chalice is also good, and Veil of Summer is good against it if I want to keep my 1-drops in.
