Hello all,

Decided i wanted to try some dredge without black. Turns out that i've been liking it alot. lots of value. fun to play. and i get to use Squee, Goblin Nabob. how much better does it get?

some card explanations:

creatures:

Dryad Arbor: basically a land. that can block. and count towards Graveyard Wurm and Gnaw to the Bone. also fetching into a blocker is fun.

Insolent Neonate : 1 drop that can hit for a point or two early before chump blocking an opponents beater while also getting a dredge card from my hand into the grave, and replacing said card. not bad for a 1 drop.

Boneyard Wurm : bigger than goyf in this deck, but mostly used to block damage early.

Flamewake Phoenix : landing a Boneyard Wurm can mean that this bird is now a 2/2 flying haste for 1. (from the grave of course, but thats sort of the point of this deck.)

Golgari Brownscale: mostly here to give us some life against some of the quicker decks like burn.

Squee, Goblin Nabob: The value. Tormenting Voice + this = cheaper Divination. this + Faithless Looting = 1 mana better Tormenting Voice. mostly discard fodder but can be thrown onto the field to chump block. this guy is great for when you need to discard but you don't have anything else you need to get rid of at the time. he also assures us that we have a card or two in hand at all times for a flashbacked Conflagrate .

Golgari Grave-Troll: the signature dredge card. basically the engine of the deck. get it into the grave, mill yourself for 6. repeat. remember that you can trigger the dredge ability off of cards like Faithless Looting and Tormenting Voice and Insolent Neonate .

Firemane Angel : my spicy inclusion. you now passively gain life for doing what the deck already does. theres also 2 fetchable white sources in the deck in case the game gets to the point where you could play them from grave, but theyre mostly their for the passive.

non-creatures:

Faithless Looting: gets dredge cards into grave and gets you a few more cards into hand. and it has flashback. all around star.

Tormenting Voice: not nearly as good as faithless, but it has it's uses.

Conflagrate . its fine to cast this with X = 0 to get it out of your hand, so that you can flash it back to discard dredge cards.

Life from the Loam: this is the end game for dredge usually. recur this plus a retrace card like Flame Jab to constantly deal damage each turn and beat down your opponent with incremental value.

Flame Jab : this + loam is the end game.

Gnaw to the Bone: can gain a lot of life in a pinch. only 1 though, so use wisely.

i imagine most of the land makes sense as to why it's there.

the sideboard was just something i threw together in 15 seconds so that it wouldn't be empty when i posted the deck. i have no idea what i'd actually put in the sideboard.
