Sideboard


Dimir rogues mill tempo aggro control. Like Elves back in origins standard years ago, the plan to hit fast, hit often, and finish games quickly.

The Plans: Your best play on Turn 1 is Thieves' Guild Enforcer. It is the best starter to your mill subtheme and engine to get going. Merfolk Windrobber is the other option you want for easy chip damage as it is a 1/1 flier for 1. You continue to flood with your weenies using Vantress Gargoyle Rankle, Master of Pranks Nighthawk Scavenger and/or Zareth San, the Trickster as your finishers.

Cardchoices:

Merfolk Windrobber: A simple 1/1 flying dude to play on T1 and turns into card draw later.

Thieves' Guild Enforcer: The best T1 play in the deck. Turns into a 3/2 for 1 later and funnels the mill theme you have going.

Soaring Thought-Thief: A massive T2/T3 play making your whole Rogue engine go turning your TGE and himself online with the mill combo of them together.

Brazen Borrower: We all know why this card is here. The card is broken and is also a rogue. What more do you need?

Nighthawk Scavenger: This finisher hits HARD and I mean HARD. With the milling you've done early you easily have a 5/3 flying deathtouching and lifelinking body on board.

Rankle, Master of Pranks: Again a good finisher. Fixing the issues you have and being a rogue helps a ton as well.

Zareth San, the Trickster: I am more than happy to steal your Ugins and Omnaths. Thank you.

Vantress Gargoyle: A sleeper one of in the deck as getting her online really isn't all that difficult.

Agadeem's Awakening  : Not only is it a land early on (and a fast source at that), the card is the nuts here. Getting you TGE and STT with no issues is huge.

Agonizing Remorse: Basically Standard Thoughtseize. Not as powerful as Thoughtseize but a decent substitute.

Bloodchief's Thirst: Killing anything is big and killing a Lotus Cobra for one is bigger.

Drown in the Loch: Counterspell. Enough said

Mystical Dispute: Counter Uro or Onmath for one is pretty great.

Castle Locthwain: Pretty easy fast black source. Late game card draw helps too.

Clearwater Pathway  : Fastest Dimir Mana in the format. 4 of no matter what.

Temple of Deceit: Really no other options for fast mana outside of what I have. Scrying helps I suppose.

Sideboard is to be changed based on your meta. This is just an example sideboard and ideas I have to answer Omnath
