Consuming Aberration's Revenge

Modern Budget Mill UB (Dimir)

Zeviander

Sideboard

Maybeboard

My attempt at a Blue/Black Dimir Control deck. A little mill, creatures that focus on beefing from mill or being annoying (control), more aggressive than a straight U/W control deck and hopefully gloriously irritating to my opponents.

Open to any and all suggestions. Don't have the budget for big money cards.

EDIT (04-13-2017): I play tested this a bit with a casual group and it went over "well" lol. When I was able to drop Consuming Aberration about midway through the game, it started as a 12/12, then I drew another one two turns later and had two on the board at 18/18 and everyone did everything in their power to destroy me.

Despite the loss, this was a great success. Now to tweak and change some things.

EDIT (05-21-2017): I'm done with the Dimir theme now. I dropped two Aberrations before turn 10 in a 2v2v2 match and had them to 38/38 within a couple turns of that point. They need trample and lifelink for it to be a win-con for me, and that's what's going to happen. 4x Rush of Vitality, 4x Vorrac Battlehorns and 4x Postmortem Lunge .

I'll do some more play-testing and bring it back down to 60 cards when I find out what card odds start working for me.

Updates Add

So I've made some more changes after further play. This is no longer a Dimir theme deck, it's going to be something that put Consuming Aberration out on the battlefield, makes it indestructible, gives it lifelink and trample, and gives me the ability to pull it out of the graveyard and give it haste until my opponent cries for mercy.

I built this to be a competitive Modern deck, but my play group doesn't play Modern, they play casual Vintage with no restrictions on banned or OP cards/combos. I'm still going to try and make this competitive Modern, but give some more ability to whomp them when necessary.

Cards added:

Postmortem Lunge (to pull from graveyard and give haste) and Vorrac Battlehorns (to give trample). Pilfered Plans was added to give me more draw without going full Blue, as I found myself unable to make things happen with just Thought Scour.
