Modern Affinity Artifact

Artifact (1)

An affinity deck with the potential wincon of emerging Decimator of the Provinces out of one of my high-cost affinity creatures. As it gives all creatures I control trample and +2/+2 until end of turn even if it's countered, the swarm of small and large affinity creatures I should have at that point can be enough to finish the game even if they have blockers.

Otherwise, my goal is to use Sanctum of Ugin to chain Myr Enforcer into Decimator or Metalwork Colossus. I include Scale of Chiss-Goria and Tooth of Chiss-Goria in order to help power out my Colossi. As the Scales and Teeth have affinity and are noncreature artifacts, Metalwork Colossus has affinity X in multiples of 3, where X is the number of Scales/Teeth I have on the field or in my hand (as long as I control 3 or more other artifacts, but in this deck that's a given).

In order to protect my creatures from board-wipes of all kinds, I have Paradoxical Outcome. In this deck, it's also a fantastic draw engine. Step 1: Have multiple 0-cost creatures and enough affinity to play the larger creatures/noncreature artifacts. Step 2: Play Paradoxical Outcome at the end of your opponent's turn or when they try to wipe your board. Step 3: Return to your hand every 0-cost creature and all cards with affinity. You will draw cards equal to the number of permanents returned to your hand this way. Step 4: On your next main phase, cast all zero-cost creatures, then all affinity permanents. Hopefully you will be able to play Decimator next turn.

Another way to generate card advantage is via One with the Machine. It allows me to draw based on the highest converted mana cost among artifacts I control. In this deck, where the limit is heavily on the number of cards I have in hand rather than mana cost, enormous card advantage will win me the game.

My biggest issue currently is that Decimator costs in its emerge cost, and Mox Opal costs $100 a piece. I have one back from when Scars came out, but I'm worried about mana fixing until I have more Mox Opals or another way to ensure I always have the right colored mana. Glimmervoid is a tempting choice, but until I play with this deck and see if I can constantly keep an artifact on the board I'm a little scared of dropping $45 for a playset of a land that seems like it'd be very easy to get rid of unless I draw a Darksteel Citadel.
