This is a different take on the ramp deck. Ramp usually sucks because it is not consistent. If you draw the wrong half of your deck, you lose. Also, you need to take a turn off to play spells like nissa's pilgrimage and explosive vegetation, which leaves you wide open to aggro.

Instead, of goldfishing a win, this deck tries to ramp more slowly and consistently while bringing a strong early game. Cards like oath of nissa and lifecrafter's bestiary help you filter out the wrong half of your deck when you don't need it. Lifecrafter's bestiary is great and does many useful things. It makes elvish mystic and your weaker creatures into better top decks late-game. It also improves your MU vs control as you don't lose a card to a countered creature.

Hedron archive is a great ramp card because you can cast it then still use spatial contortion the same turn for removal. It is also not awful late-game because you can use extras to draw more cards.

Other cards I've tested that did not work out: 1) Going GU for elder-deep fiend - not enough creature to emerg 2) MB Nissa worldwaker - okay. Can take over games if unchecked. But does not protect itself if cast on curve and not enough forests to ramp consistently. 3) hornet queen - too expansive for the early game when you really need it 4) walking ballista MB - HB is there mainly as a blocker to slow down your opponent while you ramp. Ballista doesn't do that as well. 5) more mana dorks and ramp spells. As above, bad top decks late game. Reduces consistency.
